ASO Mustaqbil - the perfect summer scent. It's not too heavy and musky or dark and incensey. On a hot day, those are not oud characteristics I want. Like I'd never swipe twr then go out in 90 degree weather. Those are oils for sitting inside on colder days imo.

Mustaqbil is green and vibrant. Pulsing green candy and incense. Sweet and spicey but that kinda vetivery type tonality you get with greener oils. I love it. Now thinking I want a full bottle bc this is the kinda oil I want others to smell on me! Whoever mentioned putting oil behind their ears is a genius. Smells great!

Does anyone where frankincense oil neat as a perfume? I feel like dabbing on some frankinscence with sandalwood and vetiver with ambergris - just a simple attar would be another fabulous summer scent.

Agreed all around! My trigger finger is itchy, and a full bottle of Mustaqbil seems imminent. Also, oud on the earlobes is an awesome way to ride the wafts.

Chinese c02 oil - great scent quality!

With the expense of most Chinese oils, this is a great alternative that hits the spot when all you want is hay honeyed florals, tea and cotton breeze. So clean and maple. With c02 it's pretty linear but wanna grab some bc I feel like for the beard and hair this would be great. Also on clothes since it's less expensive you could use way more of it without the guilt!

I have consumed a tola frankincense oil distilled by Tyson. A very good oil that was. Its performance in blend was excellent.

JK's oil was a bit viscous and its aroma stayed on skin for a long time. It was a complete attar sort of oil.

Frankincense oil by respected Shabby. He distilled either in early 2019 or in the late 2018. I blended some Sandal and Rose and a little bit Hindi Oud. The result was good.

Weekend was going to be about trying my new purchase Pursat4K and Koh Kong 4K.

Usually I'm not a big fan of Cambodi exception of few oils Habzoud (Muhib, Dhahab) and ASO (Qadeem)

But these two [emoji7]

Pursat 4K

I have already written about this oil but you will be amazed how different this oil felt coming out of a bottle instead of a sample vial.

The typical yellow greenish incensy opening felt amplified. While still playing along the sweet fruitiness but now much mellow. The bitter kimanic aspect of this oil is not to be missed, it's so well balanced and keeps appearing in the mid and dry down over a creamy hayish woody note.

Koh Kong 4K

While maintaining a similar opening to Pursat4K this oil quickly turns its attention to being more berry oriented over rich creamy oudiness. This aroma to me is one of the best I've felt in any Oud.

When I checked this yesterday with a fellow Ouddict he also felt the same, and when I checked with Taha what is that creamy berry note. Taha said it's one of the most sort after Kinamic note there is "Red Kinam".

After 24hours I didnt want to change my shirt and take a shower because I kept getting whiffs of it still.

To conclude:

I'm still in awe of these new oils I was able to purchase from Taha thanks to Almighty. And I wish him all the blessing and luck for his future releases.

I have Tola bottles of 20 types and I have
3 gram bottles of 50 types and I have gram vials of Another 15 types and sooooooooo many samples!
I get the same from all the sizes , quality is in the oil not the packaging or story the vendor tells you. my sample of original Oud Royale smells amazing and my Blue kinam sample!
Heaven!

Interesting .... I never experienced it earlier because I never had a sample and a bottle of the same oil...

Last few months I have noticed it ...

I almost always buy samples first and every time I don’t i wish I did! Bought Jerai full bottle last time along with luang 2g bottle, I won’t be wearing either and wish I had just got a sample instead. Jerai is the worst smelling oil in my collection! The sales bit sounded great to bad the oil was burnt smelling.

Like I always say one oil to X cannot have the same experience to Y ....

I've not tried Jerai

but Luang is the best Thai I have hands down ... I'm sure there would be many takers of the 2gr Luang on Ouddict if u wish to give it away since you aren't going to wear it...

I second this, Luang is a top notch oil for its price. It’s a Thai oil with a kyara type twist to it... simply blissful

I have been wearing Royal Malinau last night and today. It’s awesome. A superb oil in all respects. And...this is a great example of samples. The sample I have of it was really good at the start but got a lot better as it sat for a month or so. Amazing change. Luang has kind of been same way to me. Bottle has taken time to become the same as the sample. Maybe an oxidation phenomenon? I don’t know?
