It may be that his "genre" of oils just don't suit you. Just a thought though: AA oils are usually sold much "fresher/younger" than many other distillers' well aged products. Also, a weird thing happens with the senses with some of these oils, and I don't know why. I don't know how long you've had these oils, and how often you've used them, but they tend to develop nicely over time. I bought AA Kog Chang. I wasn't excited about it at first. About a month later, I would consider it a "go-to." When I first got it, its opening was very tangy with nice and resinous/incense-y drydown. Later it developed a lovely, green, herbal note ealier in the progression that made the overall experience much more desirable. Similarly with Perampera. It cost almost double what Koh Chang cost. At first, it smelled to me JUST LIKE KOH CHANG, just with the volume turned up a notch. I sampled it numerous times and was so convinced, I contacted the distiller to see if there was a mix-up. Then, after maybe 2-3 weeks , BAM! It clearly evolved into having a hyper-bitter opening that quickly shifts to one of the juiciest floral arrangements; especially being preceded by such bitterness. I kid you not, I think I teared up. Anyway. Could be it's just not your thing, but you MIGHT want to just wait a bit and see. Just a suggestion.
