I think, Taha doesn’t work an oil in a perfumery way… but in an experience way…
He composing an oil in his own interpretation of a special agarwood scent …
He is an artist who want to respect the terroirs and the attributes of the raw wood when you heat it… and this man knows what he is doing… He know the wood … to understand it and creat the juice of it …
Also I don’t know yet any Hainan oud oils from Taha but for me, JS Emperor of China is build as a perfume… it’s not supposed to smelling the exactly same scent of Hainan agarwood on the electric heater,
This oil deliver you something different, to my mind it’s actually better than the smell of the Hainan wood heated …
Marius used different distillation techniques and skills that is not the same way and intention than Taha …
It’s like you are comparing to different artists in their own styles… (Karaté, Judo)
However, Emperor of China is an exception… an anomalie in the matrice …
It’s a perfume in itself, extremely wearable !!
Like an attar or a perfume!
Taha’s is meditative oil, sedative oil, Medicine…
It’s not really comparable, but I think both or masters !
Bravo 🎊 👏 Chapeau !
Actually is same as hk wood on slow heat subitism 😁

My mistake, I admit that I doesn’t have high grade hainan or HK wood in my hand to try it on slow heat subitism… 😅
I’ve got few very nice Hainan chips from Kevin in China … and he sent me CO2 extract of Hainan and Kinam… but the Emperor of China oil is sooooo faaaaarrrr better ^^ not comparable in every ways with everything else …
By the way, after 26 hours, it still smelling light creamyness of sweet vanilla kinam on my hand … 😨
Empereur de Chine is my holy grail 🥰

Emperor of China today

wow! Thank you Marius for bringing the heat.

EOC is such a gorgeous oil. It’s the cleanest and most Kinamic oil I’ve had the pleasure of smelling. It puts into perspective what folks mean when they say “yellow Kinam” and for the first time I can say this is truly Kinamic.

Imagine Piercing top notes of watermelon and Amaretto with a touch of powdery almond and ultra bitter sinensis florals and Manuka honey. I also get hints of cloves, jasmine and Frangipani forming a sweet perfumery accord that is ethereal. My head started spinning when I smelled this as a huge rush of dopamine took my breath away.

Upon tasting this oil it’s an explosion of flavor and one of the greatest culinary experiences of my life. It also made my mouth go numb. There’s heavy medicinal qualities here both narcotic and sedative. It felt like I sprayed some throat numbing spray after tasting this.

Also extremely tenacious. I went nose blind almost immediately.

lol i never get this performance with any oud arround...very few oils last over 7 8 h on me, usually like 4 5 6 hours
This is the thing with oud oils,it really can defer from person to person and even right down to the time of day when you apply it. I recently tried Nadeem’s collection of Oriscent oils and the differences between the scent profile on my skin compared to his was remarkably different.

I am lucky to have this skin ^^ al hamdulillah
I found a part on my hand (between my thumb and my forefinger on the soft part of my skin) where the oud oils have very long lasting compare to other place of my hands or wrists … It lasting almost the double of times compare to other part of my body …
I don’t know why :/ but it’s a fact
Here is the best place to swipe an oil on me 🙂

I’m the same way. I consistently get between 14-16 hours on most oils. Sometimes I get around 24 hours as well.

I also get quite good longevity with oils in general. Decided to start trying them on clothes and see how they unfold in comparison. Btw, if you apply it between your thumb and forefinger, how come you don't wash it off every time you wash your hands? I usually apply it on my wrist, taking care not to wash it off.

I should try on clothes also … I don’t know why I didn’t tried it before :/ I thought the oil drying down better on skin than tissue…
About the hand washing, I don’t want to seems dirty, but I always wash my hands without any soap…
Only natural water … I do my Wudhû (Ablution) several times during the day and I love it because it reacts the scent …
I saw a nice video on YouTube from Ensar and Sheikh Ehab ( Allah y rahmo ) where Ensar said that the water doesn’t harm the oud oil on skin… it doesn’t remove or dissipates oil on skin … so you can do the ablutions without any worries about longevity or other factors, on the contrary, it brings out the smell 🙂

Did an over night testing of Royal Memberamo by Jinko Store

Lots of clean Papuan jungle incense and green spicy herbs in the opening before reaching a glorious spicy herbal bee pollen and linden blossom drydown.

Ken’s new PNG incense smells identical to this oil it’s stunning. I burned a stick while wearing and I love it.

Personally on my own skin it can reduce a little bit when I’m doing wushu, this is why I’m careful not to rub the water off my hands if I’ve got oud oil on. This can be subjective to the different types of skin

Swiped some more of China.

I could see how someone that’s not familiar with the grading system might miss the subtle nuances in this oil that make it great. It makes me think about all the times I smelled Taha’s Royal grade oils like Royal Malinau and have it go completely over my head.

The cleanness of this oil is something to behold. It’s purity at it’s finest. But smelling watermelon in an oil is something I’ll never get sick of. Not to mention apple skin and grapes. There’s something so crazy to me about the way this oil smells and to truly feel the yellow Kinamic facets. It’s poetic.
