Al Hashimi - Saba Jinko

I ordered this on Monday morning and it arrived less than 24 hours later! Amazing service. Took a swipe just after delivery and didn't really pick up much. That's happened before, so I put it away for a few days.

Today is a different story. Loving it! Getting amazing wafts from my wrist while typing; a deep oud feeling that's combined with berries and lightness. Incense, but without the smoke. Going to be wearing this a lot I think.

Imperial Oud Pontiniak

The top notes are excellent,
that gives way to an
oudy woody incense middle.
The Kalimantan prettiness is shy,
and overpowered by the cooking method.
It’s borderline smokey and is kinda linear,
but it does make me think of the raw agarwood.

Jinkoh Store Malinau Qi
EO Malinau 3000

Enjoying some Malinau Oils for the evening.
Absolutely love Malinau Qi. I was searching for a top Malinau oil for a while now. Sampled some really great ones, including White Kinam. Ultimately, I was fortunate enough to get a sample of this one, at the time I was gravitating toward White Kinam, but this came through for me. And it's still very fresh so I can only imagine how it will age. It is a difficult oil for me to describe, it has a particular facet that I have never perceived in any other oil till now. A strong sawdusty, almost chalky, bitter quality to it. Very strong at first, tames down eventually. It's very unique and satisfying to my nose. It starts off with a strong peanut aroma, vanilla cream, and that sawdust/chalkiness. It's not really sweet, it has a beautiful balance of bitter and sweet. It smells very thick and deep. Almost feels like it would choke you if you inhale too deep or for too long. I always imagine creamy, vanilla-flavored peanut butter, the all-natural variety without added sugar, topped with sawdust🙂). Gradually it develops some floral facets and a berry-like creaminess. As it evolves, the berries replace the vanilla, and it becomes less condensed, a bit brighter. This has the Malinau oil fingerprint all over it, yet one can easily tell the superior quality. I actually did a side-by-side comparison with White Kinam trying to decide which one to buy and settled for this one. They are both amazing oils, but quite different, so if you are looking for the best that Malinau has to offer, I think it comes down to personal taste. MQ is more about dense, creamy vanilla flavored peanut butter, chalky, only slightly floral, and with blueberries in the dry-down. White Kinam is more floral and drenched in berries to my nose. I don't get much vanilla and no peanut flavor whatsoever. It also has a vaporous quality at the beginning. I noticed that, personally, I don't like that green-earthy-jungle-like quality that many Borneo oils have. Luckily for me, neither of these two have that, maybe that's why I would rank these two as the best Borneo oils that I have tried to date.

Is Malinau Qi a new oil?
How does it compare to Royal Malinau from Taha?

Unfortenetly, I have not had the opportunity to sample Royal Malinau. However, based on the reviews I've read on it, it seems very different from both MQ and WK. Kinda a unique oil for a Malinau.
Hello Ouddict, i was waiting before posting reviews about the unbelievable Malinau QI from Jinkoh store…
This juice , even fresh is absolutely impressive !
I feel the very high quality !!! It’s unusual malinau profile , very different from AA royal malinau , Borneo 3k and Borneo Ateeq from Habz … this oil is very deep ! Not really sweet, it’s like the real natural vanilla without sugar, I am fully agree with brother DR B1414! He describe it very well ! It’s very fresh oil but it alerady smell amazing !
MQ remind me the ice cream magnum vanilla almond chocolate ^^
During dry down it share similarities with Royal malinau , but the opening is very different. I get a very addicting notes but I don’t know exactly what is it cuz I’ve never found it in an oil before ! I will post very soon a better review !
But vanilla ice cream , almond , peanuts butter , and biscuits with hint of vaporous diesel when it drying…
Royal malinau and Malinau QI are both hummazing oils! Even fresh MQ is , I can’t decide which is better , cuz they share different way …
I will try to do a side by side tomorrow 🙂

Jinkoh Malinau QI
AA Royal Malinau
EO Borneo 3000
Habz Borneo Ateeq

Malinau QI is just WoW !
It has the best opening of the 3 others…
Cold ice cream vanilla almonds with thin milky chocolate à la Magnum !
folowing by peanuts butter « Reese’s »
This oil is like version of Malinau in terms of sweetness ! Very well balanced !
like the natural sweetness of raw vanilla pods! If this oil has a color , I would say white or yellow ! It’s very Deep , massive , huge spectrum ! I get intoxicating resinous very addicting! Hint of vaporous diesel and light Ambregris breathing ! I get lots from this fresh oil … it’s alerady a Beast ! The drydown is similar to Royal malinau but less sweet, more bitter , with berries peels! And kinamic vanilla honey
Actually MQ still smell strong on my skin compare to RM .

Royal Malinau opening very buzzy, airy , earthy, vanilla sparkling and touch of sandal, dry oud wood , intoxicating resin !
this one is sweeter with hint of mint and pepper! Milk and honey , pollen and berries juice ! Linear during few hours and dry down milky bittersweet with vaporous vanilla yellow kinam

Borneo Ateeq Habz is unbelievable… it’s like Royal malinau , but sweeter, less deep and complex , add light citrus during drydown and not as long lasting ! It was very very good price for this oil…

EO Borneo 3000 is green jungle, Vanilla , sandalwood with wet wood and musky vibe ! Not very complex but very nice also …

I wish you all gooud evening 🙂

AA Vietnan spécial K
AA King K Nam
EO Kinam rouge
IO Nha Trang Ultima

KKN is a black dragon ! My Fav on my hand !
NTU is a white dragon, more complex rounded and smoother ! closer to VSK than KKN
Kinam rouge IMO smell more Cambodian … with hint of bitterness and berries but I don’t smell any kinam at all… no vanilla, no honey .
All are very nice oils but KKN and NTU are above to my mind 🙂

Edit : Kinam rouge developing olive note that a dear member here (casting shadow i think ) ^^ gave me from Kinabang, Siam sk etc… here in Kinam rouge it’s strong olive note with vinegar! Is it from the region…? IDK …
VSK drying down leathery and milky berries
And KKN is spicy vanilla buttery leather wild beast ! This oil is amazing !
Dry down of Kinam rouge is very nice I have to admit that… very different to the others oils, I feel sinensis musky, red wine , and very light vanilla!
KKN and VSK has very similar dry down, leathery cream, buttery cookie vanilla with nougatine on it accompanied with Berries with light diesel that I love ^^

Agar Aura Inderapura Encens
Agar Aura Bois Mielluse
Imperial Oud Kushiara
Imperial Oud Kejalasan
together with Ambergris and

The Beauty on the right is
Santal Midy Mysore

JS Emperor of China on right hand
JS Emperor Guan Yu on left hand

One of the best sinensis top notes oil in my right, with one of the best sinensis base notes oil in my left …
Lavender Honey, Honey, licorice, honey, cinnamon… do I mentioned Honey? ^^ Hay, vanilla , green melon, kinam shaving, and EOC even give me hint of lotus !
this is an oil, but it works more like an attar, not perfume because I find the attars sweeter than perfumes and EOC is soooo sweet !
EGY is less sweet, more bitter, musky ! it’s vanilla with honey ! Kinamic with some nuances! Very long lasting ! it smell very very close to my cultivated kinam shaving from China !
both amazing oils !
I love sinensis

Swiped Mynma Gold on one arm

Swiped Jinkoh Store NamXay on the other.

Both stunning examples of mid-range sinensis. Both exhibit similar character. Personally Mynma Gold has a better edge scent wise but the moment Pusong Qi is swiped its game over.

NamXay always reminds me of just how good Pusong Qi is. I would take Pusong Qi over Emperor of China in terms of personal preference.
