This oil is crazy good. Very intense and old school! I love it.

Have you tried Hutan Hijau? It’s another stunner in their lineup.
That is spot on. I love it too. There is a lot I want to share about this oil. I have only tried the Borneo Kin, Badshah, Oud Tabak so far. I need to give them a full wearing before expressing about them.

I smelled the Hutan Hijau from the vial, honestly do not know how I feel about them yet. Need a swipe on the skin. TGIF.
Will do it tonight. I could sense the Malaysian, sparkling fizz from the vail.

I read your reviews about the Borneo Kin on Instagram, very good write up.

I tried the Hutan Hijau, and Subhan Allah, Wow!!! Stellar!! Clean classical Grany smith fizz, herbaceous, bit camphorous. I did not expect it to be like this. I was thinking of wearing the Borneo Kin and Lao Shan, this has changed my plans for tonight. Not much of transition and change, lasts a looong time on my skin.

This is not traditional or old school distillation like TW. This one is more modern, top notes driven. No oudy base like TW. I am not a big fan of clean distillations and have like only a few in the past. I like this one very much.

If you have loved the Zamarad II(now sold out), which was a steal for the price, you will love this even more.

Hutan Hijau tonight 🙂

Hello ouddicts 🙂

Habz Maliki
AA Bentong Royal
AA Mahkota
AA Mulia

Mahkota is coca zero with light gingery vibe that I also get in Siam 4k… it’s gentle sweet brown sugar with cinnamon !
( I found similarities between the oils distilled at same moment by Taha, for exemple kham lao, perampera, myanma gold, Siam 4k , Mahkota etc )
Maybe skills distillation and same materials used …

Bentong Royal is Coca Cola !! With more sparkles and cola ^^ it’s cooler than Mahkota and darker ! Almost black ! I get deep licorice with cinnamon, like milk bubble tea flavors brown sugar, and cola ! I love it over mahkota …

Mulia is greener , sweeter , vaporous like
The smell of gasoline 98, I get camphor, mint and eucalyptus ! It’s very buzzy, mineral. I love it

Habz Maliki …
It’s unbelievable…
This oil is absolutely beautiful !
Habz told me « you shouldn’t miss this one »
I took only 0.5 and I regret strongly…
Man this oil is the only one I have in my collection with this profile … the closest is Ghazal …
Maliki is perfect balance between sweet and salt !
blue berries pie with fleur de sel !
oceanic vibe with cola and cinnamon rolls and lots of more !
IMO this oil is one of the best Indonesian oil I have ever tried ! If someone know oils similar , please telling me … and of course if someone has this fabulous Maliki , tell me, I offer more than retail price 🙂
Thank you very much and Gooud weekend ^^

SOTD is Hind Classique by Lucky Oud
Make no mistake, this is not one of the Hindis that are being churned out of the distillations as of late. This one is analogous to some of the strongest smells I’ve experienced. I feel like there is a thin line between strong fermentation notes and putrefaction notes. Hind Classique is walking that thin line, quite graciously.
Opening is quite intense. Soon after the swipe, I realized, I should have gone lighter on application. However, it settles down quite beautifully, giving way to a rugged, bitter, salty oud experience. Ultimately, showing the true Hindi leathery incense(y) vibes, which I certainly adore in far dry down.
As the name suggests, this is for the people who like rich traditional Hindis, and at a remarkably economical price point. Quite different from the likes of Tura or Garo Hills from older offerings from Lucky Oud. I feel like this is drier and more bitter than the rest.

I’m going to be purchasing A053 which is an Adam’s Peak oil after seeing your reviews. Have you tried this one at all?
Actually, the oils were in transit. Now I have got the oils.
AO53, AP vintage and Sinharaja vintage

AO53 has beautiful nuances of legend Ceylon oils by different artisans. Copper note has accorded well with silani Oud woody bitterness.

AP and Sinharaja have super medicinal note, but clean and kinamic.

Hainan 2018 and Lao Shan from The Oud Labs.
Just swiped the Hainan, honey sweet, no bitterness. Not sharp, rounded. The Lao Shan is solid, and lasted 6-8 hours with projection and then about 20 hours on my skin. No sharp edges, very smooth. No Skank, very woody and Oudy, heavy base like I love.

JS Malinau QI
AA Kinabang
FO Koh chang breez

The Malinau is stellar oil… it transporting me directly to the moon ! deep and thick spectrum ! 🤩 wow… still fresh but alerady hot ! ^^

Kinabang developing very fast ! From the first hour to the dry down, it’s absolutely not linear oil , no straight forward oil… lots of turns ^^
to me it share VSK vibe with Siam 4k and sk … with hint of Lao 4k…
Very nice oil

Koh chang breez is typical molasse fruit jam … it’s not my cup of tea… But very nice dry down 🙂

Gooud evening ouddicts 🙂

I'm gonna start doing OOTD. I need to document some of the lesser known ouds especially.

Earlier today it was ZTF from JK(bring him back BTW). Less than an hour ago I put on some EO Ertugrul Gazi.

ZTF has a clean aquatic scent that stays consistent from the moment you swipe it until it fades out. The aquatic component doesn't smell very 'blue' to me. To me it smells beige or grey. Compared to other oils it doesn't smell oceanic to me. It smells more like the air after rainfall or a stream/lake in the Midwest US. It also has a nice oudy base that adds depth and weight to an otherwise very airy oud. It's a perfect compliment to an actual rainy day.

Ertugrul Gazi smells jungly and dark and has some fruit mixed in. It's strong and almost pungent, but it's different than other pungent smells. It doesn't smell funky in any way it just hits you with a strong scent that 'feels' like pungency. The fruit feels like dried fruits and comes off purple. Think prunes, blackberries, blueberries.

RBO Wild Koh Kong

Fruity funk and a touch incensy.
There are facets from Oud Yusuf, and Thai Palaka. Wait a minute…….., this is supposed
to ba a Cambodi oil…not Thai🤪

Cambodia borders Thailand to the Southeast. There's a long strip of land below trat that looks like it's practically just a beach along the border of Cambodia. Since geographical borders are not constrained like political borders, a Cambodian oud can sometimes smell Thai or Vietnamese. This kind of thing happens in many places. The Philippines and Indonesia are both long stretches of tiny islands and their ouds can be all over the place. The biggest difference between oud on the cambodi side of the border, and oud on the Thai side of the border, probably comes down to the culture. I know Thailand has lots of plantations. Maybe they also prepare it differently. I don't know much about any of that.

If you know the more precise origin of your cambodi oil, it would most likely explain the similarity.
