Jinkoh Store Brunei Qi
Nothing soothes the mind and the soul like an amazing oud oil for the evening. And this one is nothing short of amazing. Bitter wood, smoky incense, green apple, and vanilla. Main facets that I get from this oil. I could dissect it even more but right now I just want to enjoy it.

Ceylon Sunset from Oud Base
This one is aging beautifully. The opening is deep and dark with a nice oceanic/mineral leather and nose blasting Silani fumes. I get a hint of musk as well before that sweet green Walla Patta resin shows up in the drydown. So good.

starts with smokey, sour-sweet plum jam.
this plum is similar to Al Hashimi's Siam 2 which is Thai oud.
raisin, juniper berries, and other purple fruits... but a bit lighter.
dry, astringent. tongue tightens.
there's heady alpine quality as well.
this one would be like marmite or dry red wine.
you love it or hate it.
if you ask me, I'm... not a fan of marmite. 😅

I finally got to sample OG Royal Kinam from Ensar. I’m guessing at the time this was distilled there wasn’t a lot of clean sinensis oils on the market like there is now.

Well how was it ?
Was it everything you expected from a high quality oil as it was described? I’ve smelled a few older oils with amazing profiles that I wouldn’t call clean but also would not call barnyard funk

It’s a nice, clean new Gen/Taiwanese style sinensis oil. It left me feeling completely underwhelmed if I’m being honest. It’s not to say it’s a bad oil because it absolutely smells awesome but if I was blindfolded I would’ve thought I was smelling a mid-tier Agar Aura sinensis oil. The first thing that came to mind was Siam 4K.
My nose might not be developed enough to appreciate it though. I’m hoping with a few more samplings something will click and the fireworks will go off.
Let me know how the drydown compares to AA oils or vs Jinkoh Store full spectrum oils.
