Emperor Kedah from Jinkoh Store

This is THICK & DARK. It's alright but maybe I need to wear it a few more time. Not getting much cola or purple florals it doesn't smell like typical Malaysian profile to me even tho the description indicates; not sure what the deal is. Maybe my nose broke yesterday.

Maybe they would selling only limited wood batch… like few pieces of wood per each gram of oil available ^^ like this each of us can enjoy the wood and the oil from it ^^
Just for marketing not for value … I can understand it’s not good buisness for them but it’s good for the buisness 🙂
Apart from business profit, it's illegal to deal in raw agarwood so he probably wouldn't want to jeopardize his oil business if his exports get held/banned due to CITES.

Ooh yess … I didn’t thought about that … you are probably right :/
Anyway I hope We will find a vendor who do it legally of course 🙂
Wood + oil from it ^^

Totally agree !
Bro wallah I asked him yesterday about that ^^
But nothing left …
It’s a fabulous idea to selling the wood used for an oil and also very interesting for the marketing of a brand !
They should do it in future
We'll be releasing a high grade silani soon. Distilled from sinking chips. And you get to sample the sinking chips with the oil. I made sure to keep some so I'd sell it along with the oil. So yes. Thought of it and made it a reality too lol

You know you got to much oud in your collection when you start going thru old samples and find full gram bottles of amazing oil you totally forgot about
This oil is screaming vanillin bliss and rich resin cinnamon cream!
Almost would have thought Borneo
Still can’t believe this got lost in my samples from years ago 🤦🏻‍♂️

Just sampled Borneo Kinam from EO.

Yeah it’s a nice oil sure. But it’s not novel and it’s an aroma I’m already familiar with thanks to Borneo King from Craft Oud. I’d even say Borneo Kin from The Oud Lab also exhibits similar traits and nuances. Both of those oils were a fraction of the price. A literal fraction.

Now don’t get me wrong I’m not saying Borneo Kinam smells bad. Not at all. In fact it’s an incredible oil. Once again though, if I did a blind test I would assume I was smelling an oil between $250-300 a gram tops. So basically a perfectly situated mid-tier oil.

I do enjoy the depth of Borneo Kinam but it’s missing a lot of the complexity in other areas that I’m drawn towards these days.

I’m gonna do another testing before I make a final assessment and I SERIOUSLY hope for my sake my nose is just off or whatever. That’s always a possibility I try and hold on to when I have a less than desirable experience. But on the other hand I’ve hyped these top level oils up so much in my mind that I have yet to be seriously blown away by any oil priced as such.

deffo need to recheck because the oil has nothing to do with dark smell , it is thick but is honeyed cherry and lods of sweet cola resin and very cinamic 😛

I wish Taha would do an old school Hindi like Purana again. I have Purana but want more oils like this. The lighter Hindis are nice but this is my favorite.
Tabeer Oud has been putting out high quality classic distillations. Have you tried any of his oils? LuckyOud has been doing the same. They get the fermentation down right to where it doesn’t smell like a total barn fest and you get beautiful transitions from intense musky openings into to pristine basenotes.
