Hello Ouddicts 🙂
Today I swiped

AA Kham Lao
Craft Oud Kakojan
Jinkoh Shizumu Ceylon

Kham lao is my absolute favorite oud oil from this region ! Lao 4K is better in terms of quality but the bitter honey from KL is so beautiful ! I get a crassna vibe that I can smell in few Cambodian or Vietnamese oils like King K Nam, or Ve Dep or Very Berry Thaï Cherry from Ejay … but less fruity and more herbal ! It was my first purchase from Agar Aura so maybe that is why this oil is special for me ^^

Kakojan is probably the cheapest Hindi I tried with this Quality.
This is not as sweet an clean as Al janah oils from Habz or Jinkoh Lokma from marius … but it’s bitter, like fresh hay !
This oil is clean and get similarities with King Kalakassi and King Ask …
Crazy oil for crazy price !

Shizumu Ceylon is sincerely the best Sandalwood oil I smelled !
Simply the best and I can’t explain why because it’s too much better to be able to do it .
Santal suprem is also beautiful but the deepness and lots of other aspect are even more better in Shizumu !
First sniff you know it’s not usual sandal oil.

I wish you all a very Gooud Swipe brothers 🙂

Sweet Trat after a long pause on wearing this one. I took a swipe from a bottle that has been half full for a while so it has been exposed to some oxygen and the oil was improved vastly. I wish I had ordered more. This might be my favorite Thai oil at the moment…

The cheesy notes that I found offputting when I bought it have faded and the oil has such a nice balance of woody and floral. It smells more like a Cambodian oud than a Thai to my nose at least.

wearing Kaw Thaung from @AlHindOud this morning. Dry, spicy --> green and fruity transition, killer! 2g picked up from the sale here.

Ahom Oud Vintage Hindi. Added some Jasmine Grandiflorum enfleurage during the dry down. The high indole jasmine pairs nicely with the Hindi funk, deepening the heart but also adding lightness with its florality.
Where did you pick up the jasmine enfleurage?

Hello Ouddicts 🙂
Today I swiped two Kinamic Oils :

The legendary Jinkoh Emperor of China
And the crazy unreleased The Oud Lab Kanbi Koh !

Emperor of China is still the craziest, the Best, the most Kinamic, the most beautiful scent I smelled anywhere else
The opening is like Apple Crumble with warm butter ! Like tarte Tatin ! This is absolutely crazy to see how this oil smell clean !!! This is clear and very precise smell ! The best opening I smelled in an oil ! This is not narcotic like AA oils but it’s more sophisticated !
I get Apple, Butter, Anis, Vanillic liqorice, Mint , cinnamon and an amazing but complex Lotus floral accord ! And in the background I smell the beautiful woody Sinensis DNA !! Kinamic and even more !
This is sublime oil and to be honest, I thought this oil was an attar at the first sniff …
This is objectively the most beautiful oil I ever tried …
all my family and friends told me this oil is the best they smelled also…

Kanbi Koh is a crazy and maybe the best oil I tried from The Oud Lab .
This oil opening like sweet fruit jam between the Thai sweetness and the narcotic Malaysian berries opening !
There is cinnamon and vanilla vapor with a special Muskiness ! This oil is the closest smell to the Yamadamatsu wild Kyara in my nose …
The best place for Kanbi Koh swipe is in the beard! I get fabulous vapor of warm powdery kinam ! This his is thick oil and thick smell with a stong consistency in terms of smell !
My absolute favorite oil from The Oud Lab !

Edit: EOC smell lavender and even more Lavender Honey !!
The son of my brother told me this honey smell!! I want to taste ! ^^
Kanbi Koh is lightly animalic compare to EOC but in the beautiful way… and the dry down is really really kinamic !! This is the closest oil to the real Kyara heating !

Thank you bro for the kind words 🙂

I don’t have much time since few weeks but I am coming back very soon ^^
Oud is still a passion and i like words as well even if I don’t have a good English so it doesn’t works like when i write it in French ^^
Everyone feel different things at different levels… it depends of the sensitivity, creativity, the capacity to write about what we are thinking about…
If I buy oud that I don’t like, I don’t make review about it … or you will feel in my write that I didn’t liked it so much…
I prefer make reviews about the oils I like and in fact, I love lots of oils even if I have some favorite and again you will feel it in my words ^^
Thank you too for your knowledge that I learned in your participation and your contribution to this forum 😉
By the way, Thanks you all brothers here in Ouddict ! 🙂

Your positivity is contagious (and much needed in our times where everyone tends to focus and fixate on the negatives only).

Evening swipe ^^

AA Blue Malay
Habz Zamarad 2
Hikayat Seri Karas
Hikayat Utan Utara

Blue Malay is really special !
The top notes are very volatil, you can visualize the notes going up from the bottle when you opening it
I am seeing visually the flowing air dancing around my hand !
it’s like ultra top notes and not just top notes…
Pur AA style Shiny aura
A very lemony terpenoids vapor with a Cola note almost stronger than Royal Malaya or Mahkota … with a vanilla cream… it smell Malay !
But my favorite part on this oil is the special sourness maybe due to the ant nest … it’s a unique sweetness like candy, buttery ! This is a wet smell and not animalic but light wild aspect !
This oil is complex, sublime, satisfying, mind buzzing, but doesn’t last long time on my skin… unfortunately for my heart!

Habz Zamarad is Lightly incensy, more green, less sweet and staying long time on my skin … this oil is beautiful for it’s price and can share something like an idea of what is Blue Malay …

Utan Utara is even more close to blue Malay without complexity and the special sourness but got a green jungle vibe à la AA Mulia … this oil is really interesting ! Sugary, honeyed !

Seri Karas is close to Zamarad 2 with more top notes and less heart notes and base notes …
It’s very good oil but I prefer Karas Utama or Utan Utara from HF cuz they’ve got a full body

Malaysian Oud is particularly interesting due to the different species and subspecies agar oud trees …
Due to the availability in the wild jungle.
In Malay and Borneo I get the most vaporous top notysh oud profile with the richest terpenoids compounds in my nose … I would love to know how does smell Kinam from Malaysia or Borneo ^^

Having Gooud swipes brothers 🙂

Sweet Trat once again from pureoudh. What was this like $70 / 3ml… ?

its generic cheesed Thai opening notes remind me it is indeed a budget oil but in my 1/2 full (more oxidized) bottle they have melded into a more sweet cambodi type scent - clearly where they are headed. This oil is a poster child for positive changes in fragrance as it is exposed to air.

The lingering sweet woody and floral notes are what make this so nice. A small dot on the wrist is all it takes… I forget about it usually because the top notes of this oil are not addictive and then for hours I get these little tendrils of well balanced woody floral aroma, that is complex enough to smell like different things at different times. This is not a perfect oud but it performs very well and if you have a stomach for civilian-grade Thai oud this is worth a sniff.

anyway I think if someone gave me a swipe of this as it stands now I would have a hard time guessing whether it was from Thailand or Cambodia. This may just be because all of the so-called Cambodian oils in my collection were actually from Thailand for all I know. Lol
