Assam organic 2005 - Oriscent (Ensaroud).
Tripura is good but, I prefer the classics , old distillations.

Reminds me of Agar Aura Kencana,
the older Kencana.

The incense note has tamed over the years,
now, it’s classic Malinau,
with a strong oudy woody resin note.

After a few minutes, I craved more oud,
so I swiped Habzoud Pursat Maliki.

Panbari reserve - tried this after quite a while. Probably the strongest, the most barny and complex traditional Hindi. Oils like these prove the value/beauty of traditional methods. Zakhir Bhai is a legend.

Is oud about personal knowledge and enjoyment or social acceptance? Trend is quite clearly towards the latter. An oil like panbari reserve is an exquisite relic from the past

Just received the vintage Hindi '93-94 by ahom oud. Most unusual Hindi, description on insta spot on. Bitter neem opening, powdery kinamic vapour. Medicinal orange syrup, green raw mangoes . Hint of leather and jasmine in the background. Jaggery sweetness. No barn or funk here.

Very hot weather here in Dublin.
33'C is extremely hot for a country use to rain and high teens in temp.
So a good dab of cultivated kinam again...seems to last for ever in this heat......❤️

Habzoud Tajmahal

I can’t help but think of Bhutanese oud,
but anyway, Tajmahal is quite resiny, and although it seems linear, I do get interesting nuances as it dries down. Not barny, and not laden with accessories either. It’s not Pop Poppin’, but I don’t mind constantly bringing my wrist to my nose.
