Yesterday was oud yaqoub. Fruity but not sickly sweet. Some bitter, some cream , probably other notes I missed!

I wore this a lot last winter and it seemed to be louder then. Does anyone else notice that oils seem to change volume? I try to stay hydrated but I’m sure there are other factors.

Hello Ouddicts 🙂

Today I swiped two amazing oils …

EO Nah Trang LTD
JS Emperor of Pursat

NTLTD is Special oil …
To be honest I don’t find it has beautiful scent … the smell is more interesting than wonderful…
It’s not an oil very wearable ^^ to my nose but I admit it’s like an experiment.
The First Feral Metallic notes mixed with a unmistakable Oriscent bitterness and Old books library like …
I get mineral note and cooling vibe that I like between salt and sugar…
This oil smell like an intoxicating wood but the Steel note is over the others
It’s a really interesting oil…
Nothing Kinamic in terms of smell but maybe the effect is of this oil is special …
Anyway it’s a special oil

JS Emperor of Pursat got a beautiful smell … objectively wonderful !
The opening is the best part to my nose … it’s bright shiny sweet and gourmand !
It’s totally different to Pursat QI which is sweeter , fruitier, and more bitter !
This one got Kinabang vibe with EOC honeyed vibe and Hainan Essenza baby skin cotton smell very delicate and enjoyable !
Édit : turned very bitter creamy nutty it remind me a lot AA Koh Kong Special K and Sink King Koh Kong vibe … very nice oil !

Have Gooud swipe 🙂
The opening is crazy!! So medicinal, almost harsh in how bitter and metallic it is, but so vintage. What did you think of the dry down?

It is very interesting and equally hectic to distill oils. It requires immense patience.
Last month, I distilled Sandal, Artemisia and Mace. Its colour brushed away the exhaustion I experienced during distillation.

Salute to distillers, who distill artisanal oils, do wait for days and nights.
And sometimes weeks!!!
Congratulations that looks amazing

There is something special with this oil … really special … licorice dark resin petroleum … this oil is not changing a lot … de fêter first hour of fireworks it’s calming down but still straight line …
Linear… but really beautiful… need more time with this oil ^^

I have no idea what that means but it sounds like a task of endeavor of love.

When you distill something a mixture of oil and water accumulates in the condenser. A reflux condenser has a small drain that feeds the water back into the boiler so any residual oil it contains can be reevaporated while oil continues to accumulate.

Visiting some Ouds from various vendors ive not touched in years, these were in a special era of Oud for me. You dont see these oils mentioned much, think i need to visit my little stash more often as some great but forgotton oils....

AA Royal Chen Xiang
AA Sumatara Jinkoh
AA Oud Darulsalam
ASO Al Rubaie
ASO Hind
ASO Qais
IO Kambodi imperiale 2
IO Sigiriya
IO Ceylon royale

Got some oils from grandawood. First of my co2 oud oils. CKN unfair copy of wild(green, syrupy medicinal, resinous, honey and airy) and triple happiness (charred fruits and burnt sugar is the best I can describe it)

Not instantly appealing, need to see how it grows. Very different than distilled oils.

Can someone with more experience share your thoughts on these oils? Does co2 and oud work well with each other?

The top note of the triple happiness co2 oil is kind of edgy and bitter, and for me this oil work best when I apply a dab on my arm or wrist where i where my watch and forget about it for a while. Over the course of the day the fragrance gradually releases and becomes quit sweet and kinam-like to my nose especially after the top note settles down. This oil smells like it needs time to age

does the co2 kinam smell like kinam at room temperature or a bit heated? I have been thinking about this co2 for a while now.
