Sampling Sumatran and Sulawesi oils from Maunamoku, both free of ferment or still notes, smooth oils with interesting differences.

Really nice, this! I'm getting a very "red" profile which reminds me of an Imperial Oud Hind/Chinese oil that I'm struggling to think of the name of.

Oops 🙊I remember you recently saying how you had to hold back on purchases!
Just swiped Hainan Ultima by Imperial Oud ...lol, it arrived about a week and half ago and I've only got around to wear it now.
oh. my. days. Absolute banger
Reminding me a *touch* of another top-tier Chinese oil that I have - Bija Hainan 1999 by @RisingPhoenix which I just applied. And, by applied I mean I touched the applicator to my hand 4 times. Not even 1/16th of a "swipe" I'd guess - this Bija oil is way too thick to swipe, anyway. The IO Hainan leaked like crazy during transit 😭, so to apply i took the cap off and . Absolutely gutted to have lost so much of this oil
erm, anyway...yeah, okay maybe they're not that close. There's a similarity but both are doing different things. Massively different in viscosity
Am in sinensis heaven right now folks 😍
Damn, shouldn't have swiped the Bija. It's absolutely one-upped the IO oil 🤣

/edit argh I'm probably gonna have a bath in an hour or so. That may be a very short lived scent experience (and stupidly expensive relative to that duration), unless I can keep my hands out of the water lmao
Amiri is also aged 20 years before Ajmal releases it. Inexpensive in Dubai but hard to get in the USA under $180 is still a good deal for this oil.Ajmal Amiri. This is a Complex and longlasting Oud oil which comes from the wildest northeast areas in India, from the Assam region. It is extremely leathery, pungent, heavy, musky and challenging. The opening phase lasts for a pretty long time. One swipe to your wrists can fill a room, you have to be careful because it is extremely concentrated and this is the reason why transitions come in so slowly. After six or eight hours you will realize that a beautiful sweetness, soft, almost earthy incense comes out of it. This is the opposite of what you felt at the beginning, and that transfomation is where the beauty of this Oud oil lies.
