Thank you @Ammar for the feedback, well like I told it has nuance of sandalwood not an exact copy. I have Timorese sandalwood prowder then I do a compare it goes like that. As for the Candan Evo, I can detect the ripe fruit in it it has little bit of sour notes and leathery. To my experience Taha showed me years back, hindi and cambodi it still ring my bell. Perhaps with time both oil can be developed more and more.

For the Candan Evo, I got to smell a sample. To me it does have a slight resemblance to some hindis (not the barn type). It interchanges with notes of Malaysian Malaccensis dry woodiness. The nearest hindi that I can relate it to, would be riviera's hindi oud sample , the darker coloured one , which is also a nice non-barnyard pure hindi oil. Spicy. Dry. Woody. More rugged and punchy. Some sweetness. For an Indonesian oil all this is a surprise to me.

As for Sandaloud, I'm not sure which sample I got (master or finale), but the opening does remind me of a papuan oil I smelled some time ago. Similarity to Indian Sandalwood, comparing to Taha's Tan Xiang mysore, I can't connect the dots. Timorese sandalwood, no experience with it. Some slight resemblance to Malaysian sandalwood. Perhaps even more with the timorese sandalwood @agarwoodindonesia compared it with. Anyway, if someone wants really sandalwood aroma then advised to just get sandalwood or one of the attars/co-distillations, which has actual sandalwood in it. Great oil nonetheless. I like it a lot.

UPDATED

The sandalwood similarity seems to emerge more after some time has passed.

Thanks if you like it, well I believe process is a cause factor of aroma not just the raw material. Now I can make the oil shine so bright like Ratu Kencana, which is ultra brighter than Ratu and that is also bright like Sentana Dalem which is brighter than my other previous creations. And make it darker profile like Candan Evo which is like "Machette" unlike a "Sword" that goes slim and balanced. By trimming the and shifting their balance Insyaa Allah I can make lots lots of permutation with it.

It was Sandaloud Finale, timorese sandalwood but 100% oud , I am not promising sandalwood but oud with nuance of sandalwood but it is oud, an enigma to the mind and a nose play. I've been waited for the GC Ms for 3 weeks already.... bah the queue is too long.

Hastakshar Kalakassi~Agarwood Assam
Pros: nicely spiced oil with mild barn opening and a hint of smoke that may be from the distill as it is a fresh oil and a little screechy in the top, I really like the dry down, big projection and longevity. Notes of sweet hay, cardamom, black candy licorice and ginger.
Cons(If you can really call it that): good now yet fresh oil so hard to assess how it will mature but based on the dry down I'm quite certain that it will tighten up and lose the little screechiness from distill in the top notes and coalesce to become a smoother Hindi whose quality exceeds its cost. Good Job Zakir!
Mmmmmmm, I like Licorice notes in Oud🙂

Hi PEARL Thanks for your review! Waiting your thought on the old Manipur Metei 2006...
By the way, if you take into consideration the ratio quality/cost Manek 2011 will be among the tops in my humble opinion of course

Papua Maziid by @agarwoodindonesia,

AWI sent me a sample of this oil with my SandalOud bottle but I didn’t care much to try it at that time, however recent Taha’s post @gaharu stating that Papua Maziid was the one he enjoyed the most among AWI recent offerings had brought my attention back…

Initial impression: Indeed, unique oil in its aromatic structure that I haven’t experienced elsewhere. The topnotes is almost a realistic image of rice pudding with few slices of banana garnished with rose water and dash of green cardamom and pistachio served in rosewood bowel. At the heartnotes the topnotes muted, the rosewood disappears and the Papuan spices slightly enhanced with predominance of soft cloves and black cardamom instead of green one in the opening; this stage is short. Then an amazing bubblegum hookah-like flavor appears from nowhere and starts to dominate on background of very faint delicate almost nonexistent Papuan styrax-based leather till the basenote where it transforms into mild cantaloupe-flavored milkshake with hint of white floral staying there for long time until the dusty woody drydown known for the Indonesian oud creeps.

The transformation is not drastic instead it is very smooth and blended you probably miss it if you don’t pay attention. Same goes to the aforementioned non-intense notes if you don’t listen closely with unsaturated nose. The physical property of the oil is also strange being watery in consistency and very fait sandalwood oil-like in color which reminds me of Aasiya color by ASO.

Artistic oil…

@Habz786 indeed. Very pleasant. Not gasoline but like petroleum jelly mixed with a spicy note that grows over time. That is the major source of dynamic change in this oil so far. This is so green. Of course I have smelled so few oils and never before a real green one.

Ahh
Now today. I try a free sample from feel-oud. Unreleased as far as I can tell.

Funkmaster burmi

This is indeed the funkmaster.
Pungent animalistic barnyard wrapped around a peircing Citrus core. This one hits hard and fast rising of the skin in a gentle but potent streak.

There is also a fantastic green base in this as well followed by dense stone fruit. This is an incredible complex oil. I hope it is not too pricey for me to grab a bottle when it is released.

Nice review Cavemanking! In your opinion what kind of barnyard is it? For example, fecal, cheesey, leathery, hay, etc., or a combo....

I would say a lot of leather now but initially it was mix of fecal leather and cheese.

Have you tried this yet?

No, haven't tried Funkmaster Burmi yet. I'm thinking of getting it. I missed Agarwood Assam's Hastakshar Kalakassi, and Adam's Dr. Hindi and Blu Malayu . . . and am not sure I can pass up Funkmaster!

One of my favorite is original batch of ASAQ 80 yrs. Old Kalakassi, so primal, deep and extremely complex unmatchable by any of the new Artisanal ouds. Well I was just able to try what ASAQ have now in stores as “80 yrs. Old Kalakassi”
And is really, really shameful they absolutely need to change the name the current one did not deserve this name. Absolutely nothing in common with the original, and it was the second oud ever that I got nauseated from while I was driving.🙁

Bio Hirta, well, its colour has its own beauty. Light green glitter coming out of the bottle fascinates. Its fragrance is not that much simple as it keeps changing its nuances that shows YES, OUD DOES SO. The end note is very much trat like, especially in the morning if it is worn at night. Adam's Funk Master has a REAL DANDY flare. Dynamic and it really makes others feel its presence, and overwhelmingly dominating presence.
