It was a real great day today. Younger brother Faheem, an adorable boy, came to my city. A long long Santalian Musky Oudy get together. Learnt a lot from him. And these OILS. Well, at the moment, just lost in Mysore. The rest will be reviewed later, if Mysore liberated me.

Faheem, salute to you.

Congratulations on aquiring these treasures sidi Munir. @Faheem you doing international drop offs :Cooler:

"Try this as a sample" - Mandeel that is just cheeky 😛, I have tried that, it is nice, a little fermenty perhaps but starts like a burning wood which is pretty good.

I have just today received samples of Adhrijaya 2, Sri Padha and Oud Bilkis by IO

<<<<<<I struggle to even smell it>>>>>><<<<<Projection is null>>>>>
do not be surprise this are the trademarks for most of the AA oils

I do not understand where this comment comes from. Like them or not, I have never come across any AA oils that were super light in terms of not being able to be smelled. My experience has been they are on par with projection with other oils from similar woods or regions. KKK especially is anything but light.
I suspect that if it is from a sample vial, the oil may be oxidized.

Many of the earlier AA oils were different in my experience. I have Oud Kampuchea which is a wild Cambodi from 2012 (and is ageing fantastically) which doesn't exhibit any of the light characteristics of his later stuff.

What AA oils do you have in your collection? I recommend you ask Taha about this on Gaharu as al Qaswa is not the first person to say this.

Well I have not experienced the oil you are referring to and in fairness only have oils from the last year or so. I have Lalitya, Lavanya, Mahabali, KKK, Tokusen Tai, and have samples of pretty much all of them from the last year or 2. They are a different style for sure, but never have I thought they were that light and certainly had longevity on par with other brands.

Nice little collection you have there... photos are required!!!

As I said on the previous post, probably best to approach Taha on #MEMRI forum and ask him why a lot of people have said this, maybe Mandeel is right they could need ageing.

@Ouddict I was thinking about the ultimate equation and that is it :
MOCA + MOFA = MEMRI

Today I wore Wild Hind: Semkhor by IO! At least ten hours before I had its swipe, a mild swipe. The first wave firmly stamped its being every inch the Hindi Oud, engulfing and recreating at the same time. And the new experience, for me at least, was the first wave in the air unveiled its multi dimensions so quickly. Just opening of the bottle, and unending vistas of scented symphony of Semkhor became my first hand experience. Generally I wear Oud on the upper part of my hand, in between thumb and index finger. At the moment, a sway of my hand leaves behind spectacular ripples of Hindi in the air. I expected heavy barnyard in there, but my olfactory could not grasp that, rather it was mild but continuous.
For me, the most important thing is the behaviour of Oud oil in the early morning, but worn at night. Let's see!
Thanks Imperial Oud for this fragrance, for me which is to be lost in the super nova of Oud.

The Semkhor is gorgeous. IO were kind enough to provide me a sample.

Thanks for sharing your impressions of Semkhor @Rai Munir! I've been curious about this one but it's kind of under the radar. Sounds like a splendid oil.
Yes, respected jensz, it is really splendid. It is a sort of prism, emanating different fragrant rays, but nucleus remains the same.
Now I am inclined towards wearing Semkhor and Sasong: Hindi and Laotian, and then experiencing their notes getting mixed up in the air. But first, just Sasong.
