some Oils by @Oudique

Nha Trang Zeitaku - camphorous, slightly smokey with red fruits. My favourite of the Crassnas which I have. Sadly the longevity for me personally is not that strong.

Maroke Qadeem - green/grassy beginning reminding me of the Ruh Khus by an Najwa and black leather like when you take a seat in a brand new car. Im getting more used to it which each wearing as it is extremely masculine 😅

Burma K - slighty fermented, resinious, jammy grapes and has some airy/ethereal vibes. I tried only a few Burmese but this one is my favourite too, I like it even more than Shuyukhi by EnsarOud which is an SQ Burmi

Its my first time I tried a Vietnamese and Papua Oud, so I cant really compare it to other Ouds of same country. Ofcourse its not gonna be like an Nha Trang Oil that is 400-500 / g but at that price point they are really nice. Hands down brother Kani and Faheem are offering good oils for a very good price. Even though I only tried 3 oils, I guess the other ones are surely as impressive as those.
💯 agree with you brother
İ tried all and
They are steal for the prices

The oud lab - Sirindica

A codistillation of srilankan and Indian done beautifully. Loads of sweet, resinous incense and it reminds me of sulaym burmi 79. There's a striking similarity except this one is a bit more sweet and ambery and not as musky to my nose. I like to dab the oils on my collar and it smells almost exactly as if my clothes were fumigated by incense but instead of smelling smoky, it's juicy and resinous. Highly recommend this one for anyone who loves the burmi 79

How’s it compare to other Chinese oils? Does it have that peanut shell slight petrichor dirt smell that guangdong oud has?
Maybe kind of but not really. I heard someone else mention it and I thought I recognized it but then they kept describing it and I decided they must be smelling something different than what I smelled. Definitely a nutty and earthy facet though.

I have never tried any other oud from Guangdong so I have nothing to compare with.

SOTN here in the Uk, wearing Miri Sarawak by Sultania Aromas

The opening is like a honeyed embrace, sweet and golden, with a vivid burst of florals that feel like a bouquet in full bloom. Then come in the spices (primarily cinnamon) with a light vanillic twist. Drying with woody Incense an extremely relaxing oil

Liu Zhi - Al Shareef Oudh.

This oil has benefited a lot from just 2.5 years of aging. I wasn’t 100% convinced upon initial testing back in 2022, however applying a swipe this morning I’ve have to say it’s a lovely oil, especially considering it’s distilled from plantation wood. All day at work I was throughly enjoying the peaceful quality Liu Zhi exhibits.

In the top notes I perceive the signature ethereal Chinese Sinensis luminosity; sunny, citrus fruits, pear, a touch of green camphor. Shortly after a delicate floral note reveals itself, along with honey & nuts. I also detect a soft spicy nuance.
The base note is incense, for whatever reason I see the colour gold in my head. A touch a powder & musk, dry woods, a slight sweetness that reminds me of some Thai oils. Although this is a soft pretty oil, it isn’t a new gen Sinensis, it still has the ASO signature complete with the Oudy resinous base, full spectrum showcasing the bright fruity-floral top notes all the way down to the juicy Oudy bottom note.

Liu Zhi isn’t especially complex, as much as I like Sinensis woods & oils, for the most part I don’t perceive the same level of complexity as I do with Vietnamese Crassna for example. Liu Zhi is a peaceful, soft, very pleasant smelling oil. A few years of aging has smoothed it out, softening any edges it may have had. Probably not full bottle worthy for my personal tastes, but I will very much enjoy wearing the samples I own.

This Sumatra from @An Najwa is one that really hits the spot for me. It has a certain quality of woody spiciness that is especially appealing. I would be happy to find a trace of that spiciness in the dry-down of an oil, with this one it is front and center from the start.

Reminds me of a batch of Yamada Matsu wood I have which has this same note. Very nice oil!

A true masterpiece! It has a delicious warm resinous sweetness that makes me swoon ❤️
I can actually STILL smell it this morning on the collar of my shirt. I don't have a beard but I do have thick long sideburns/mutton chops so I often put a swipe through those. Last night from Al Namirrrrrr I was getting these amazingly deep cola notes. Took me a little by surprise as to date I hadn't managed to pick cola from any of the oils I currently have so that particular description from others had never quite been understood by myself. NOW I get the cola note reference. Sometimes it seems you just need to be a certain way along the oud journey before things sink in. It seems i've taken another step. Now I know what to look for I'll probably smell it everywhere.

Al Namirrrrrr 😂
Those Oud dry downs on fabric the next day are bliss! I love the scent of Oud on natural fabrics; linen, cotton, wool etc.

Now you’ve internalised that cola note, suddenly some Malaysian oils will make you very thirsty for a can!

Al Namir indeed! There are so many things that I feel so lucky to have had a chance to sniff.

Right now I am just really getting a kick out of the particular profile of the @An Najwa Sumatra I posted a note on here yesterday. I had put a blend of rose, patch and neroli on already this AM, and it seemed like it was calling out for this oud... applied a little swipe and the combination is just beautiful.
