Has anybody else tried this one? I'm sampling it now and loving it, but wondering if going for a full gram from a higher end supplier would be worth it? The scent profile is green earth and an interesting coffee note, perhaps even rain hitting jungle/oceanic rocks.
I love it. I wouldn’t sell this one short based on its price. Oudique know what they are doing. It’s absolutely worth getting at least a gram of this. And if you’re new to Meroke get as many others you can afford just to get an idea of the breadth and range

Sultan Hijau from Habzoud. I'm still trying to figure out the potency of this one. It's on the softer side. I'm getting a bit of piney, terpenic cannabis, alongside the pith of an orange and a touch of cinnamon. This one's very green to my nose, and it has a musky freshness that I appreciate. I could see it taking well to a jasmine oil and some ambergris, since it's a little salty and resinous too.

Do you guys enjoy Sokkat Alteeb and if so what all do you own/tried?
Everything they have is amazing. I would avoid Trojena and Ghalia AlSaudia though. They’re both good but not great. Ghalia is a well-blended mix with ambergris and musk. I’m not too keen on musk but they execute it well with Ghalia and it’s not overpowering.

Try Trat Boray, Blue Bakhoori, Thai Bakhoori, the Bronze one is on sale now so I grabbed a bottle of it. Treasures of the Old Forest, Special Burmese. If you like citrusy go for Jibal AlPantashat. I could go on and on.

This is my cart I'm thinking about

I'm loving the Pursat from ThienThanhAgarwood off Etsy. An easy daily wear. Nothing intrusive and keeps me in a nice oud bubble when I work outside. I have the Koh Kong on the way.

Great to hear about another source.

Sometimes i swear all these fresh clean no soak crassna like oils smell almost exactly the same regardless of where they are coming from - china, laos, thailand, malaysia even. Sweet balsamic poplar bud type note, odd felty cloying pungency, sweet and sour; the dry down is the best part of the profile, it is generally pleasant and clean, bright woody vanillic; sort of adjacent to CK dry down. I wish I could separate the base note from the top notes and just experience the pure base fraction. Over the years it's like I'm smelling the same oil over and over again - not the situation with oud I have come
to expect where each oil has character.

Not a surprise really, could say the same about basic plantation sandalwood, for example. Maybe even a good thing reflecting common cultivation and quality control standards.

Jinkoh Store Malinau Qi - hands-down the NUTTIES Borneo oil I ever smelled. Peanuts galore. Dusty-dry wood, lots of vanilla, peanuts, slightly green, and a prominent milky facet (think Tuberose milky-green). One of my favorite Borneos and one of the most unique. One reason I love Borneos so much is for their nutty facets. This one is loaded on them. No fruits, no honey. Aged to be more defined and less blurry, and today I'm even picking up a slight slatiness that I have not picked up before. Gorgeous oil.

I'll tell you that nutty aspect always has me scratching my head. I've learned to appreciate it as part of the profile but it's really out there as an accessory note. I would love to see what would happen if @mesOUD distilled some of this kind of material - fascinating to have a direct connection to some of these mysterious facets of these oils from someone personally distilling these things under very controlled conditions. Just fascinating
