Swiped some Laosi SQ. It has similar profile to the Hindi SQ but has more animalic and leathery notes. Strong leathery notes actually. Different than just a regular Laosi. Where there are none of the mentioned notes and instead the regular has more spice whilst this lacks it.

Going to sleep w EO Erugrul II - swiped before seeing post above🙂 - more of that menthol/camphor…
vanilla, spices, unburned tobacco
so far, I think this oil is a bit lighter on longevity, SILLAGE, and projection

Disclaimer: but I might be on my way to becoming nose blind from too much sampling - or my wavering into the deeper waters of Hindi, and other oils might be recalibrating my senses … and parameter
Ranges 🙂
Onward I go as a complete newbie…

Update 30 minutes in and I can get the cedar now, the pine… yes citrus

You're on the path man, and paying attention. That's the important thing.

Rising Phoenix - Sivasagar 2021

Just swiped it and opens up with a beautiful combination of horses, barn without manure, leather, honey, slightly chocolate-y with some dry florals (think a drought ridden field adjacent to an old barnyard on an oppressively hot and dry day). This oud makes me thirsty.

I don't know if anyone in here plays video games, but if you do swipe a good barn-y hindi and play Red Dead Redemption 2. It takes the immersion to the next level.
That’s an awesome oil for a guilty free daily wear 🔥

have you noticed the sweet red cherry note?

Ahom - Hindi Classic.
Just landed and took a nice swipe. Extremely surprised and pleased given the price of this oil. Funky barn, cocoa and stewed berries.

Edit: this may be crazy but it's reminding me a little bit of areej beauty and the beast.

They couldn't be more different. I know you can feel the shared origin as they are both high caliber Vietnamese oils, but one is more subtle and the other is unapologetically powerful. NTLTD is obviously the more powerful one, has a metallic, spicy opening similar to Royal Kinam 2.0, keeping this note (which is 100% not kinamic by any means) singing for long time. RG on the other hand being smooth, I'd say creamy and balsamic.
To be honest I liked both, it is not redundant to have both, but I'd recommend to get a small amount of one of them, and a larger amount of the one you like more.
I have tried many high end Vietnamese oils, like IO Nha Trang Ultima, AA Vietnan Special K, AA King K Nam, EO Kinam Rouge, Fushigi Nha Trang and many that I might forget about, but I can assure that NTLTD & RG are my favorites from Vietnam.

Trying a sample of Vathimi Raja tonight. Initial impression is how strong it is off the dipstick, piercingly dry and earthy like exhuming an old log buried in the forest. Someone else mentioned Ajmal Shams, I as well smell a strong similarity (I have the special edition Shams). There's an ethereal note that hits deep in the nose for quite awhile. I only put a tiny spot to test but can tell that there is more to be revealed further along.

AA royal malinau.. and what a beauty it is. Been aging for gosh.. how long? 4-5 years. Im getting hit with a Sweet Blissful golden nectarine scent in the opening like a honey 🍯 cake baked in heaven. These malinau oils are becoming increasingly rare. Glad to have this in my collection Alhumdulillah.

When did you order Hindi Classic? I got the Laos oil on April 20th and still haven't received a shipping update.
