Burma Ember 92 by @Faizal_p
Liquid heritage in a bottle. Distilled in 1992 and aged over 30 years, this is a real treasure. The scent is deep, smoky, and metallic with a primal elegance, rich, leathery woods and hints of dark spice that evolve beautifully throughoutthe day. It’s not just rare, it’s unforgettable. A different perspective on a Burmese oil, one worthy of saving, a true masterpiece.

Finished my night out with a small dot of oudSg Leyte sultan and 😲. Cherry and blueberries galore, florals, pipe tobacco resin bubbling. It's gorgeous.
It's almost as if everyone trying to make a 'tobacco perfume' was trying to replicate this oil. Very tabac grande by sp -esque

Raja Hijau 2 - Habzoud, I really love this oud. I wear it when I know I'll be around family or busy places and I won't offend them with my scent. It's very sparkly and clean. Never in your face. It's definitely a head turner as well. Feels great knowing you smell like nothing else the general public have ever smelled or likely to smell. Also, I can no longer tell any difference between this version and the first.
Stunning.

Got my very special little bottle of Alamgir 1 today from Alhindoud and man is it special. The chocolate notes are insane! Quite animalic as well but in a non barn way. It's cloying and sticks to the inside of my nose after inhaling. Out of this fresh bottle I'm also pulling a cooling mintiness. Life is good.😀😀

RPP - 2023 Borikhamxay
A super clean dewy honey. Its pristine quality is incomparable. And the ant-bitten sweetness is just superb. 😘
I think it's one of the best oud oils RPP ever produced.

RPP - 1960's Trat
A yet-to-be-released vintage Thai. The scent reminds me of oils from the Prachinburi area. It's incense-y, light, ethereal, soft. Then becomes fruitier, and sweeter over time.

The quality is undoubtedly superior to modern Thai oils.

Sila by @mesOUD initial impressions i know this oil is fresh but behaves well rounded already. It opens with a flurry of golden sweet hay, super clean no off notes, barn or funk. Theres thick sweet sidr honey, a field full of colourful aromatic flowers. The oil moves from golden to a green stage with a herbal jungle vibe, dry clay, a thunderstorm in a tropical rainforest. Then there are red berries and candy, think rasberry/strawberry even a toffee apple vibe. The dry down leans towards a lovely sinensis stroke cambodi vibe with bitter incensy woods, wisps of a chip on low heat finally revealing a mystical Hindi ending.

Lovely high quality oil, reminded me of some of my previous AlJannah series oils with how pristine the aroma is.

Great job brother Mehmet im sure this oil will age into something more special than it already is!

Longtime lurker and decided to take the plunge and purchase some of Rising Phoenix Perfume’s Oud oils. I wore these two on my walk tonight.

Krishnai Chai - Excellent Scotch Whiskey, incense, dark ouddiness. Just loads and loads of hay, black tea, and resins.

Nungkhal 4 - Chocolate, more chocolate, black ambergris, some cream, dark ouddy leather, incense, hay and tea florals. I get notes of anise and licorice in the drydown with dark, fermented grapefruit and black leather. Such a complex oil.

Could you give me what main notes you now pick up? And how long it lasts you? At the time of writing that post I was on a binge with it. Put 1 fat swipe and a few light ones, VERY gently rubbed the oil into a square like i always do when enjoying oils (although I am gonna start putting dots on of new oils I get samples of and old oils ive had for a while, and just out 1 fat dot and just dab it with my pinky finger into just one place and refine my nose a little more for oils, as jce not done that in a while). Then I was enjoying that experience for lime 1.5 hours tnen I just went mad with reapplying, and eventually I just put fat swipes on my upper hand and nust dabbed all over my neck, face, etc. Now im awake and its 2:30pm and im basking in the amazing dry down of it. Very oudy, true hindi resin and some nice dry hindi wood.

I first get black pepper, cheese rind (maybe parm?), a brown leather, a saffron-like note, and a little bit of swampy-liquid note. For me the spicy black pepper is strongest, followed by the leathery cheese. The savory-culinary effect is strong for me but unlike other culinary scents where the spices of cumin-anise-fenugreek can give a sense of stewed food, the culinary note is more like a cured meat, maybe salame. This is note something I'd necessarily want to wear out in public but I really enjoy it at home.

On another note, my Laos Pusong from Ahom came in and my oh my, it's great! The scent and price are perfect and I'd say that this, followed by Satkara II, are the best bang for your bucks I've smelled. Laos Pusong is extremely berry-rich with zero zero barn. It's such a "sexy" scent, one that I could imagine layering with a bunch of different perfumes if I were to want to add a fruity, gummy, dark edge without overpowering the perfume itself.

Sultani Blue by @SULAYM envelops the senses in an imperial embrace, weaving a majestic tapestry of scent that transports you to the verdant heartlands of Southeast Asia , lush, untamed, and steeped in mystique over the years.

The opening swipe unfurls with a sumptuous blend of fruity leather, musky citrus, and sunlit warmth. As it matures, it deepens into what feels almost like a vintage Malaysian codistillation, earthy, forested, and veiled in cool minty whispers that bestow an air of serene gravitas.

I can find nothing wrong with this oil, and a lot of great things. No offending notes... a sweet base with spices and that mysterious "what is it?" Oud resin in there as well. Some camphor on the initial application, which fades in the first hour or so. This is the type of oil I will use at tradeshows, in public situations, and with family to hopefully get them to ask "hey... what are you wearing??"
To which I'd say "oh thank you for asking" and then corner them for 1 hour talking about agarwood, distillation, notes... lol

YUM. Is the Krishnai Chai smokey? Did you notice tobacco notes?

Well my friendly UPS driver just showed up with a sample of Sila from @mesOUD

Good stuff, complex enough that it will take me time to develop a good understanding of the oil.

I smell a variety of deep rich robust woody notes, overall very clean and resinous; there's a kind of "chewy" woodiness that i also picked up in Begum. I don't know how to describe this "chewy" adjective. It's like a beautiful natural version of the smell of vinyl but it doesn't come across as "vinyl" but it's like a certain saturated presence that somehow has a vaguely similar impression. It's a little bit custardy, it doesn't smell like nutmeg but nutmeg creates this kind of creamy/custard vibe to me it's almost like an eggnog quality without the literal nutmeg. Truly a privilege to be able to attune my senses to this olfactory miracle. 1990's Mr.P is still having trouble believing he gets to smell the stuff at all. 1990's me used to stress out about having missed out on the famed Maheshwari oud oil. No more!

I've had my swipe on for about five or 10 minutes here so I don't claim to know this oil yet but my first impression is very positive. I only am removing my wrist from my nose to type these comments then right back it goes.
