Tabeer Oud's Sultan Altamash is every bit as good as I've read, and it's convinced me that I need to start buying samples so that way I can find out what I want to spend the big bucks on. No more one grams unless the deal's too good to pass up because I could've said no to a few different things I've picked up recently to get 2.5g of this.

I'd describe it as incensy mulch with a hard backbone of old, old leather. This is the "cleanest" barn I've smelled yet. I think some people in the street would still find it off putting but not because it smells like @#$%. On deepest inhales, there ever so slight of a menthol note. I can't wait for cooler weather to wear it.

I’ve come to the same conclusion. The key is to order earlier, so that you don’t end up unable to get the larger bottles if you DO like it!!!

What does a clean barn smell like?

What does a clean barn smell like?
I think of a freshly bedded stable, leather polished and hanging waiting for the next use, grains off in the corner, the remnants of fur and musk from the animals prior.
@Al Hashimi Fiet Atiq
I keep going back to my wrist over and over. Incense… some light powder in the background. Wifey likes it 🙂

No 💩
Yup! For me it's every but the bodily excretions and I'd say the biggest note I tend to pick up is that of hay and leather. I've seen "horse's skin" as a descriptor used before and I'd also agree that that can come through.

Oud Safeer from @An Najwa on my wrist - i've been meaning to return to this one for a while. This one is from Assam and has that classic agallocha aroma and is very enjoyable and balanced - manuka, oud resin, hay, earth, kind of a creamy or silky aroma, somehow.

I don't completely understand where the boundary lies between clean and unclean Hindis, although I have seen examples of the extremes, but feels on the clean side to me, though I think I can smell some fermentation notes. The agrestic vibe is there though, and I think someone who had not experienced oud before would not consider it a "clean" scent - it is clean and contrast with some of the more challenging Hindis I have smelled that had iodine, bandaid, manure notes and so on. It's hard for me to talk with confidence about the Hindi profile because it's not one that I have worn as extensively but I think this is an excellent oil and worth adding to your collection.

Hello Ouddicts

Today I swiped :

TOL Kanbi Koh
Craft Oud Sudha
Habz Al hareer
An Najwa Safeer
Craft Oud Aru Naga

Kanbi Koh or better to say Candiy KO !
^^
This oil is so candied… it is sweet like honey ! I get sweet medjool dates with brown sugar and cinnamon! Dark Licorice and cherry Jam …
Kanbi Koh sharing one of the most amazing dry down ! It’s what I identify as Kinamic oudiness savory note which works like perfume … I mean it creating like an aura around you, a cloud of agarwood bubbling.
Still one of my favorite oil from Thailand

Craft Oud Sudha remind me Ensar Oud extraordinaire with a strong resinous base and diesel additional notes, camphor and light incense with kind of Licorice … nice oil ! Need to study this Cambodian oil !

Habz Hareer is so well balanced it is an addicting oil… remind me lightly Oud Shuayb in terms of barn equilibrium…
I put it just under Al hind Dhahab
I love this oil a lot ! I don’t know why I am more and more falling deeply in love
With Hindi oils since few months … it is becoming my favorite region ! Agallocha got something special …

An Najwa Safeer is the perfect balance between the Sandalwoodish Hindi, the traditional smooth barn Hindi and the new gen clean anis seed Hindi …
I true love !!

Aru Naga is in same league but with more smooth barn and less part of clean new gen Hindi it a mix of traditional hindi and sandalwoodish hindi ! A very very nice oil also !

I wish you all a very Gooud swipes of the day 🙂

Do you rank it with best feits out there?
I’m unqualified to rank it as I am an approximate three month newbie to this entire world. I found this somewhere as a description of it:
Sinking-grade Vietnamese oil from 1984 -almost mythical. Richly layered with dry incense, citrus twang, and dense woods. Nearly impossible to replace. A true collector cornerstone

Any oud wood experts here I wanted to ask about some sinking agarwood pieces that I was gifted by a friend of mine he dosent know much about it but I tried its sinks underwater I want to know the region as well will anyone be able to identify ?

Below are some of the photos of the pieces

Update : I think it’s polished or defiantly has glue and not the real stuff or maybe even it is muhssan (we call for woods that has been given resin ) because it burned my eyes and nose the smell was not good

Hello Ouddicts 🙂

Today I swiped South East Asian Oud oils …

AA Blue malay
Hikayat Hutan Utara
Fushigi Papuan

Blue malay is complex oil with lots of notes … I already described this oil few times and I am always impressed by this oil … I get everything that I love in malay oil and even more …
Lemon, cola, vanilla, milky citrusy, lemon yoghurt, cinnamon, chamomile, ginger, camphor, light addicting clean incense, it’s slow heating malaccensis chips on subitisme … just wow !

Hutan utara is very nice malay oil with the typical lemon, camphor cola note with a brown sugar and it remind me some AA oils from Sik jungle !
Very nice oil but very limited batch …

This Papuan oil I my favorite Papuan oil honestly… I am initially not so confident with Papuan oils … but this one is really nice!
The opening is bitter medicinal signature of Taiwanese distiller with a sweet cola note ! Incensy resinous oudiness with a light library old books aura and metallic overtone … the sweetness is very nice in this kind of profile.
A very interesting oil from Fushigi… strong enough, but again I find it lightly monotonous like the other Fushigi oils I tried ! But still interesting for studying the old Taiwanese Oriscent style …

I wish you all a very Gooud swipe 😉

Hi brother, thank you for your kind words… from you it’s even more a compliment sincerely…
I remember back in 2018 I was reading your reviews and I always considered you as a major Oudhead here in Ouddict !
Your humble nose is à library himself 😅
I also love the way you can defending an oil without any hype just because you like it and don’t care about being in minority…

Thanks again for your words bro I am humbled 😇
