1 hour in, the honey / caramel sweetness remains and now an incense layer is coming up. A very safe Oud for our family travels today near Busan Korea.

Cambodia Qadeem from Oudlogie Very Good Oud Oi

Today i swiped Cambodia Qadeemfrom Oudlogie and I really liked it. This oud is very thick – like honey or even more thick. I think because it is old, it become like that. The smell is sweet, but not like candy sweet. It is more like dark honey, very deep and almost can’t really explain it but it’s dark sweetness

After some time, I also smell smoky and incense type notes. For the price, I think this is a very good oud oil.

Also, the person at the shop was very helpful. He explained everything to me and showed me many oils.

Two other things from their collection I liked:

Nagaland Perfume– Very beautiful I think if you love oud, you will love this one. It smells strong, deep, and special. Not like normal perfumes. It’s basically Indian oud in perfume form

Attar Luwak in RoseThis one was also really good.

Oudlogie was a nice experience for me. Good products and nice people.

I went there last year that’s when I got the Cambodi oil

Today, as I sit here stressed about going to work tomorrow and sleeping tonight, I am wearing Oudimentary's Imperial Chinese. It's within my price range at $180 for 3mls. It's not what I usually go for, it's light and medicinal and green, which are all notes I don't care for, but they are working for me here. I get a hay note, tea, and honey. I can't detect the promised dried fruits, though. It lacks longevity, maybe 3 hours. And it has a soft projection. It's different from their Cambodies, which are beasts and last and are thick. But I've spent a lot on precursors for my organ, so I've been trying to keep my spending under control in favor of my work. Actually, I think I'll wash my hands now and apply one of their others that are thicker. I don't know what it's called, but I think it's their long-gone, Royal Aged Thai.

Yes I received several (4?) small samplers with the larger purchase and they all are very interesting and none are offensive. I’ll post a review when I’m back.

That's very true , I don't know if the quality of wood that's being used or just the prices have gone bonkers . Unfortunately I only have small vials of the 2015 oils and they were over the top in quality,price was the same . Anything with royal will be expensive and other high end oils such as gen 4 distillations i.e. Agar noir. I love these oils but lately I want more of the oud and less of the perfume notes .

These are special oils. A work of art indeed. I’ve been on AA kick lately.
Hefty price tag though and do not come with an option to purchase 1g.
That would have been a little easy on the wallet.

Hainan Ultima start with that unique Taiwanese Medicinal bitterness signature with a metallic undertone surrounded by a sinensis dna with fresh Hay, Apples , some of milky berries and olive note …
The evolving is outstanding and turning into the honey addicting sweetness with king of anis star and cinnamon that remind me Kinamic notes …
Such beautiful oil…
This kind of oil got something you will never find in any new gen oils …
I’ve never tried any Hainan oil like this … it’s vintage but still clean with something soothing …
A real treasure honestly

Hainan Fushigi is much more bitter and medicinal , darker and got almost the same scent of Nha Trang Fushigi maybe more bitterness and stronger punch. Better longevity compare to Nha trang
With a better evolving …
I personally love these type of bitter signature… that remind me Oriscent line…

Honey, candy Licorice, Honey again and again… Vanilla…
Al janah 1, 2, 3, was very similar but the second version was something special to my nose … this is soooo clean and sweet candy like ! The only similar clean Hindi I tried was Jinkoh lokma…

Taj Mahal is not so close but remind me lightly this candy smell I get in Al janah… it is a wild version with a smooth lion fur … still clean but with something raw

Ps: if anyone got some of Al janah available please let me know and if you know very similar oil I am curious about it …

Very pleased you followed up on it. I'm sure a lot of us here when reading about an oil a member has just tried often decide to dig out their bottle or sample of it. I know I do. Where was I when all these versions were getting around and available?? I'd love a bottle of this as well. @Habz786??? 😉

Brother @SamiterkiW asked me earlier if i had any Aljannah series oils left i told him i gave my last bit away, thats what you have brother. I rather someone used it than it just sat there. Im trying to sort out another clean Hindi oil but it wont be a little while yet!

There are a few new projects nearly complete of some real top shelf oils, pretty costly but worth it. Ones a Malinau which is right up with some of the best Borneos 😉
