EO Suriranka Senkoh - still after so many years, my undisputed no. 1 Silani oil. Almost brings tears to my eyes.
After wearing lots of heavy perfumes for the past few weeks, like Leathers, Patchoulis, Musks, and the occasional florals, I just craved something like this today after a long day of toiling in the gym and garden. This really hit the spot.

The opening has this lemongrass and aquamarine facets that remind me of AA Royal Sumatra. Exotic florals, ozonic, mossy, fine incense, dusty, and creamy woods. No fruits or candy-like sweetness. A mature, poised, and elegant oil. Sheer in the top, exotic in the heat, spiritual and soothing in the base.

I should probably finish my oud oil samples. I have dozens of them received from here and there, but I'm so weird I'd rather wear something that I have and love than wear an oil that I don't enjoy as much. There are some great ones in there, and I need to go through them eventually, as it would be a pity to have them oxidize.

Hui an Ateeq - Oudique. Super thick and sticky. Like dabbing molasses on your hair. Almost as dark as molasses as well with a deep red hue. This gives the longevity serious legs which is a good thing because I reckon if I was stuck on a desert island and had to choose which Oud's I would keep with me, this would be one of them.
Edit.. doing a side by side comparison with the above and Oud Boran - Habzoud is showing striking similarities. A blind test and I'd find it difficult to tell them apart.

That is totally not what I thought the two would smell like if compared. That's cool actually. Could possibly be from similar regions right given the borders?

Initially Oud Boran opens with a blast of diesel and then reasonably quickly goes into it's dry down. Hui an Ateeq ( to me ) is pure dry down and this is where they smell the same. Location of trees could be part of the equation for sure.

I almost added it to my last order but maybe next time - check out OudSg Viet ateeq. Heard it's supposed to Cambodian profile leaning with some Viet twang.

Yeah nice. I'm super chuffed that I made this association between the two because I love both oils and don't have a lot of either.

Unlabeled sample from @Al Shareef Oudh that I got in an order not too long ago. I slapped a label on it so it didn't get lost in a sea of vials.

Definitely hindi, opens with a piercing, dense, clean, and defined hindi profile. Barnyard (without manure), leather, suede, animalic, spices, dry meadow grass, candied fruits, lacquer-y oudiness, and there's even more going on and I'm barely an hour into it.

Whatever it is, it's an exceptional top tier oud. Clean hindi that'll satisfy both traditional and new-gen lovers.

That colour speaks volumes....no doubt this is a great oil!

Would you mind diving at all into what you've found correlated with hay like color vs the darker amber/red hindis?

From my experience with Hindis, the lighter coloured oils are usually top note intense, sweeter, more vaperous and less heavy. The colour will darken as the oil ages in some cases. Darker Hindis have a heavier deeper more traditional profile with more base. The lighter oils could be a result of lower cooking temps, distillation setup materials etc. @Al Shareef Oudh can chime on more on this specific oil...

Oriscent Pusong LTD and a good read. I think I'll add some Jinkoh Store Pusong Qi later in the day.

Pusong LTD is all you'll get in Royal Kinam, Kyara LTD, Nha Trang LTD, Kyara Koutan, topped with crystallized honey and pollen. Bitter Oriscent smoke and ancient, dusty smelling aloes drenched in honey and topped with pollen.

Also, just like the others, it is incredibly potent. I don't even swipe these. I just gently scrape the tiny film of oil that stains the inside rubber inside the vial's cap. That's it.
