Glad you're liking it!

Any thoughts on how it compares to Al Hind's Thai Zen?
I'm actually finding it comparable, which is great. It's scratching that itch anyway for the meantime. It's very thin compared to Thai Zen and the projection isn't huge either so you need a swipe as opposed to a dot but other than that it's very good (not that those points are negative). I'll probably end up looking for more of it as well 😉

Khao Yai 1987 [280 year old tree] - Oud Ladawwan

The thickness of this Oud is incredible. Very similar to EO Dokusan or Oud Extradinaore - but even thicker than that. There’s a peachy tobacco scent coupled with wood and smoke. I love this.

Jinkoh Store Emperor of Kedah V1 2017
Jinkoh Store Grand Emperor Hue 90'

Two purple oils, dahhh, I love purple scents. The Malay is more tart, fizzy, and spicy; the woody facet feels slightly musty, just a bit. The Viet is sweeter and less multifaceted, yet still beautiful. The only thing that prevented me from getting more Grand Emperor Hue is this varnish/turpentine nuance that starts to creep in later on. It's not that I hate it but I wish it wasn't present. It would have been a much better oil. Both of them feel quite honeyed, as with all of Marius's oils.

Habzoud - Malinau Maliki
OMG!!!! I received the package today and I was faaar too impatient to wait and let the oils rest for a bit.
Result: I’m sitting on cloud nine, teary eyes closed, singing praises about this oil. Poetry cannot describe how much I love this oil!

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for putting this oil up for sale Habz!!!!

Nha Trang Ultima - Imperial Oud
Nha Trang “Elemental Elegance” - Yi-Xin Craft

Got back from work and decided to relax, shower and application!

The NHU is displaying many notes, the “organic matter” is strong.
The “Elemental Elegance” is void of that “organic” note and the dry down is a beautiful bouquet of florals. I would say it’s a cold scent on the dry down, nice stuff.

I see some similarities between these two, I’ll probably dissect the differences more when I wear the latter more.

Trat Fukai-Oudique

Starts off with a thick brown sugar syrup and nut combo that reminds me of hotteok. A couple hours in and it starts becoming sharper and more astringent like lemon juice. When the lemon emerges the nuts start fading and the oud overall smells more like a piece of lemon drop candy. As is nearing the end of its life cycle the sweetness has faded completely. It concludes with wafts of lemongrass and cedar. Very approachable and easy to understand oud.

Prachinburi - Oud Ladawwan

Medium-bodied brown clear Oud. It’s light yet powerful in aroma. I’m getting all kinds of fruit notes. These are notes of the fruit itself being whole, not being sliced or cut. Also present is a wood note that’s not your regular woody note, it feels special. This is a good Oud for the summer. Lovely.

Sultan Kudarat - Al Hashimi

Check the beautiful golden colour here.

I have been applying small swipes from a toothpick. First to make itself felt is a blast of cooling eucalyptus, then comes that chip-on-low-heat fizz, and a fleeting touch of petroleum complexity.

As it unfolds, I get further notes of cola and a medley of warming spices: perhaps a clove-like eugenol note is at play here, maybe anis. There’s a really nice tension between cooling, analgesic mintiness and warm spices in the drydown. Makes it feel lifted and alive.

Later, it turns just a tiny bit sweeter - though this is by no means a sweet profile - with impressions of underripe mango (this part reminds me of Yusa Seiron).

Great to get a feel for what top Fili is like. Maybe not my favourite profile overall, but a nice addition to the collection for sure. I think there are members here who will really appreciate this if more gets released.

Not worth the hype/price atleast for me. Just another high grade oud oil with very little performance. May be my skin chemistry is different? But I have had very low priced oils much better than this.
Appreciate the candid opinion here 👍 it’s important people can speak freely in these threads and not feel pressured to just unequivocally praise certain products.

Personally, I haven't tried this oil but please give it a try in different weather conditions. (Winter, dry weather, humid weather etc) Some oils really seem to shine depending on the weather. At least, on my skin. Perhaps this oil will enchant you with different weather?

Merauke Qadeem-Oudique

Marokes typically are described as jungle-like and there certainly is that in Merauke Qadeem. You get dirt, petrichor, and heavy wood all in the front. However, what stands out to me for this one is a very strong smoke that, in tandem with all those prior notes, reminds me of a hot coals that have just been put out. Over time I get more smoke and the oud starts to smell salty. It is like going back in time where I am able to experience what those hot coals were used for. Salted meat barbequed on a spit and bathed in smoke. This is a very brash oud that despite being very dark and smoky I am absolutely enjoying in the heat of summer.

Making my way through a handful of little samples sent to me from brother @SamiterkiW simply for the love of sharing a good thing. Today I have tried one called Myanmod. Very pale yellow in colour, it opens with mild sweet paint fumes into something delicate and light. So far though, yesterday's sample is a huge winner for me. Named Siamlou this Thai oil is out of this world. Is it wild mate? It opens as a mild, almost timid although very recognisable Thai with diesel and fruit but then bursts forth with this incredible perfume which immediately brings to mind an aged Pursat. From there it's a ride that lasts all day beautifully, reaching that sweet piecing vanilla note that we all crave. I heated some CK in the evening with a fresh dot of this and the resulting layers of scent throughout my apartment was incredible. I need more of this.🤤🤤

Moms 79th Birthday

Really good Pizza and @Faizal_p Faisal’s Malay Ultimé

I didn’t say anything about wearing one of the best - and then later my mom hugged me and said “you know… you always smell wonderful”

I chose not to just accept the compliment - sparing her a lecture (for once) on agarwood oil and how tonight might be a level up from
The usual 🙂
