'Ghazal 3' of Habzoud @Habz786 - high-class Kelantan beauty:
I was working this morning on a perfume for a client; the perfume has to be a sensual, dreamy, suited for a lazy-afternoon-intimate-private-moment (with the famed 'L'Après-midi d'un faune' musical/dance piece - as its initial, conceptual inspiration); and after sampling what I've made so far (I left the mixture alone, to sit quietly for a couple of weeks), I was rather underwhelmed. Going through materials to tweak the composition, decided to crank up its animalic edge, add a little bit of good old Ambergris and a light touch of my own animalic accord (arounf Civet and Castoreum); then I came to Ouds' section - and added a nice doze of some mid-class - typical but light-weight Cambodi...
... and then a bottle 'Ghazal 3' came to my view, and my heart joyfully and spritely jumped - animated by the memory of its smell. And so I poured (somewhat reluctantly and begrudgingly) a few nice drops into the client's perfume-in-making - but also wiped a couple of golden drops (and neatly wiped the edge of the bottle) - on myself.
I can not tell yet, whether was it enough - of the added 'seasoning' by 'Ghazal 3', to turn the perfume into a desirable 'wow' experience - but it certainly made me momentarily happy -
I truly love its ravishing yet refined scent - its captivating harmony - truly an aromatic high-wire balancing act - between aquatic-maritime-zesty and clean-animalic-pheromonic opposites that create that magentic tension, or as we call it in the professional perfumers' jargon, 'Nervosité'- the 'Nervousness' - that exciting, slightly unsettling, engaging feel brought by an impactful and substantial note that pierces through the entire composition without being lost to the 'general choir' - to the luminous and very pleasurable - really brilliant effect, banishing any dullness or mindanity.
Ghazal 3' is definitely goes straight to the excitment core of my mind, and I applaud Habib for his aesthetic choices, with 'Ghazal 3' being truly a wonder on its own as well as playing a perfect 'secret ingredient' for the exciting fragrant composing.
