Musky opening with sweet berries.. the sweetness is not like Thai oil sweetness but more on the acceptable level to my nose... the dry down is ouddy ... not a show stopper but does its job pretty decent ...

Oud of the day:
Kumathra V2, for the hot desert I'm in.
It works great with the heat, the sweet notes of pear and vanilla are pleasant this evening. Oud really is a nice treat to enjoy, especially when far away from home and alone, although smelling Oud is making me homesick, but hey, at least it smells like I'm at home.

Satisfying oudiness.....when you swipe this oil, you “know” you’ve swiped “oud”.
Then there’s a little herb and spice to remind me of a tasty incense stick....(without the smokiness).

Someone alerted me to this post and privately made the questionable claim that my name is synonymous with Oud Royale No.1.
Undoubtedly I have a love affair with this oil and if I had to restrict myself a single oil for the rest of my life it would be this one. However the accolades rightly belong to Ensar who released it under the celebrated Oriscent label.
Now I’m going to have to dab the tiniest drop on myself tonight from one of my bottles. I’ve probably used around 0.1g of this over the past 6 years... simply astounding.
man just lash it on, you have bottles, stop being frugal and swipe without a care!
Every drop is precious! I’ve actually given away or exchanged far more than I’ve used. I get a buzz out of sharing this with others. The last bottle I swapped for other bottles was done after the individual pestered me for weeks until I said ok... I swapped it not for the value that I got in return, but for the passion this guy showed and it is now with someone I’ve known for years and a real lover of fine oud oils.
