Today I went all sandalwood oil!
Burmese sandalwood oil from the northern part of Burma(conflict area) from a pristine jungle distillation was carried out in clay pots and imparts its ionic chemistry upon the old trees in the most beautiful of ways. This is the most amazing sandalwood oil I have ever come in contact with and a total mind puzzle following its scent profile thru all it’s twists and turns! wOw
This oil came to me thru a friend of a friend and only shared for the love of amazing experiences not the love of money. This was one of the lest expensive oils ever. I feel blessed. Most amazing sandalwood oil!

Oudline Malay super from 2008 or so. Edgy pepper and cola, forest soil, over ancient dense oily oudy ooze. This oil has a just about perfect development to my nose, but this is one that benefits from restrained swiping.

EO Port Jaya

First Impression:

Opening : my nose gets a typical Malaysian oil opening green, pepper, mint, mossy feel...

But post half an hour the Malinau sweetness begins to make an entry... with that Malay feel still intact and may be a bit more powerful now.

Say couple of hours with this Oud, it smells to me like Walla Patta [emoji6] seriously. But a Walla Patta of very high quality Senkoh, Oud Royale quality...

I usually dont believe in co-distill, only oil I have which is co-distilled AL Rubai'ie from ASO (that's a beast oil) and now this.

Power and Longevity of Port Jaya is good. If your a Gyrinops fan you will love this oil and I would recommend it. If your not a gyrinops fan maybe you should atleast sample it if possible. I feel this oil with time may develop into a more complex oil.

White Kinam - Super potent ... WK to my nose = 'Kinamic' note (think Purple Kinam, Kinam Rouge, Guallams to a lesser extent) + Borneo 50K profile.
IO Fragrant Harbour - Middle notes hark back to some similarities with EO Hainan 05
Oud Sultani 90 - A joust between the Sultani and OR 82 ... Touche .. Close but not quite...There is no Maroke that's broken OR 82's lance as yet.

EO - Aroke Roshi

Decent Maroke oil ... I'm falling in love with this profile ... it makes me calm relaxed and clower to nature.

@Fahad OR1 1982 best Maroke there is

Thanks to @chipkills (Shiva) to introduce me to Maroke profile oils.

EO - Sultan Beyazit (single origin New Guinea)

This is limited edition oil which was re-released by Ensar on Eid. This is one of the few single origin Sultan Series. Most of them are co-distilled.

This was a complete blind buy by me on word of a dear friend @ChipKills (Shiva).

This is a special oil and obviously one of my favorites for sure and I'm glad I took the decision to get it.

Opening with a metallic mineral nuances which in a way is very new to my nose. After a bout 30-45mins is when the fun starts the aquatic bliss showering on a this sweet oudiness is so so special and it stays that way for long. The sweet note dont get me wrong is not like Trat or Typical fruity .. actually dont have words to describe this sweetness it's just very special.

Projection and Longevity this a beast oil and can stay with u for hours.

Dear and respected Dan, is there any oil your olfactory says it is co-distillation, but the brand or vendor's description says NO?

Dear Munir .. I had an opposite experience with EO Peoples Ceylon I always felt and experienced a typical Walla vibe until I was corrected by a respected Ouddict it was a co-distilled oil of Walla and Papua(I think)

If someone blind tested this oil to me I would 100% say EO Tigerwood Royale

This is what I think of MUTAHID by HabzOud.

Strong oudiness with no nonsense florals or fruitiness just Oud... and it gives u a vintage feel just like TWR...

Welldone Habz

[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] (Me somersaulting and roars of laughter)

Is this 'ittehaad" between both oils is because of their belonging to the same area or some artisanal mystery is there?
I have no idea on the origin Dear Munir but according to Habz this is 2007 distillation nd TWR is 17-18 year old as per Ensar website.... but both feel vintage and similar...
