IO super hoi an today, once again. I always have a bottle of this diluted down to about a 1% concentration in ethanol. One little swipe of this on my neck in the morning and the most amazing shining kyara / fine Vietnamese wood chip notes are revealed gently and gracefully throughout my work day. This is among my favorite fragrant things in the world right now.

Unfortunately I am not wearing both at the moment, but I’d say Yasuke is a bit darker, smokier and spicier with the classic cola notes. Hulubalang is totally AA style, very clean. Definitely Malay with a spicy heated wood cola resin smell. Side-by-side I get a sweeter resin note mid-wear with Hulubalang. I really enjoy both oils.

EO Borneo 3000 V3.
My first experience with this region. Still one of my favorite oils but the forum has mentioned many a times that the previous versions were far better.

For my reference I really wish to try a top top Malinau. My current options are Royal Malinau or EO White Kinam ... anyone who has tried both?

You could also try etrugrul for a top grade one that doesn't cost an arm

Czar Sultan - I've come to really appreciate this and tend towards oils that are less sweet these days, so this one is nice for me. More on the leathery side. no barn whatsoever - some bitterness. Very matured smelled, kinda calming - no shouting or high frequency notes at all. I think this is a great example of a really nice organic oil - and about as good as it gets for an organic oud. Still for me like non-fat yogurt or having coco pebbles with skim milk. It's good but feels like I'm on an oud diet or something - like asperatame vs real cane sugar. There is a depth and complexity not here, but for the price point, makes sense.

For those that tried @Habz786 new attar called Jungle - this smells very similar to that, except without the musk you get with Habz blend. To be quite honest though, given the price differential, I'd shoot for Jungle because I think it has FAR more complexity. Basically it smells like a similar oud undertone in both oils - but one has a hit of musk and vetiver that blends so well!
