Elixir Attar sent me a vintage Cambodian oil distilled in 94. Its beautifully resinous with a lot of tenacity in the first hour or two. It opens up with a soft floral Jasmine note that’s not quite bitter yet it’s softened by a slight dry woodsy aroma. I’m surprised how this oil does a total 180° and becomes a resin filled plum with red wine and leather. The far drydown reminds me of a Thai as it become quite sweet and almost berry like. I wish I knew more about this oil but I think he said it’s a Koh Kong.
This is my first experience with a wild Cambodian oil and I’m blown away at how smooth it is from start to finish.

Wearing Oud Royal 2004 today.
It’s going to be upwards of 110° F today and the surprisingly cool/mentholated opening of Oud Royale is perfect for the heat. I’m currently in a beautiful Oud bubble right now.

Emperor Hind took on a rather fecal tone when the ambergris started to show up after 6 months of use. I enjoyed it much better when it was first released but the aging and maceration have turned it unwearable.
Im looking forward to whatever they’re putting out in July though. From what Dixit was saying they’re going to have two lines releasing. One for Dixit and Zak and the other for Naaz perfumes which will be about 80% naturals and a much lower price tag. I’m excited for it.

Malek ceeni - fabulous oil. Even lasted through 8 hours of sleep and faint still after a shower!
Usually the lighter more creamy and floral aromas don't last as long but this goes full force. It actually opens modest and dries into a perfect 1 to 1 representation of Hainan chips on medium heat. Absolutely stunning oil. And you only need a tiny bit!
