AA Royal Malinau,

My oh my... the potency is mind blowing. opens with a bitter green note but goes quickly. There's a bit of a cola kick. Such a crystal clear profile. Its like brown sugar and woodsy butter with a bit of vanilla orange ice cream scent.

Malinau heaven :handok:

Swiped one of my very first pure oud
Thai Spice
Either Russian Adam or someone in his camp sourced this, presumably from a Thai distillery.
When I first got it, I was shocked at the burnt rubber smell, but today, it has smoothed out that note to nil.

This oil kicks booty!
Well done!
Reminds me of EO Maroke Muah with a touch of fruit, and the color contrasts in Oud Royale no.5

Eo Green papua.

Opens up a bit wild. A mix of green, swampy , rooty scents along with something I can best describe as fresh cotton.

After spreading the oil around application area a bit more, the sweeter , creamy , green nuances come into play.

Around 3am, suffering a spell of insomnia caused perhaps by too much caffeine, I decided to indulge in a few swipes of AA Bhamo - an oud that has definitely taken me some time to grasp (and I suppose I am not done yet!). Last night I resolved to recline and listen to the oil, take deep breaths and let my mind wander. I must admit that until today I was a little skeptical whenever I read reports of the so-called “mind buzz” effect of certain oud oils. Well...all I can say is that I felt “the buzz” alright (mind you I laid on 3 generous swipes). In a matter of minutes, I “felt” my brainwaves down-shifting into a lower RPM. I would describe the “buzz” as nearly identical to the sensation of that sudden “falling off” feeling that occurs when you are deep in meditation - not a gradual transition, but an immediate and unmistakable switch (from beta waves to alpha?). I’m intrigued.

Green Papua and Pattani LTD - an at home version of Halime Sultan :Roflmao::Roflmao::Roflmao::Roflmao::Roflmao:

So far, a superb combo ;-) Perhaps next time Port Moresby + Pattani

Pattani's sharp earthy green jungly incense pairs well with green liquory sweet --> creating a sort of sweet and sour green that is oddly indulging. Keep in mind two separate swipes side by side, I didn't actually combine...

Dr. Incense Incredible Tarakan.
Is anybody familiar with this oil ?
In my limited experience, I haven't smelt an oil quite like this one yet. This, to me, smells like a woody floral oud mukhallat rather than a pure oud oil. Very round in aroma. Is this what aging does to an oil ?

I have it, but due to a loss of my sense of smell that is only very slowly returning, I can't fully appreciate it yet. However, wearing it on several different days seems to have coincided with the cat that regularly visits me looking at my face and suddenly getting terrified of me and running away, spooked for hours. Bizarre.

Big swipe EO Oud Sulaiman III on the skin + Small dot of AA Pursat Select dabbed onto beard + Brunei chip fumigation all over.

Wrapped in oudiness from Hindi to Cambodia to Brunei.

Jummah Mubarak 🙂
