Habz Oud - Dukhan. I recall this being very smokey at some point but that seems to have gone (thankfully) or receded to the point of being unnoticeable. What's left is a very nice Malay without that cola vibe, hmm colour wise I get a very black profile

Al Hashimi - Ateeq. Very Hindi, quite barny to my nose. I haven't long got back from a long bike ride where we went through several backlanes through farm areas ...yep, I got some big hits of oud while doing so! Fermentation and funk - but not too bad (except in one place). This isn't so extreme, the barn is more pleasant as opposed to being over the top - rather liking this! Oh it's peppery too but takes a little time to get there

Thailand Nam Nao

Love this oil! Will be ordering a full bottle first of next month if still available!
Top is like freshly cut wood. Maybe some tea notes? Resin.
Middle is still woody but incense comes out with a bit of floral.
Base the fresh wood is still there but the incense really comes out with more floral. Love the incense notes!

That's a good one. I had a couple drops once... trying to remember. This particular oil solved a puzzle for me because I had purchased many years this one oil from a Singapore vendor called magnifincence... It was really an outlier from all of my other oils and I didn't know what it was. I always regretted not having bought more of it. For years I couldn't figure out what it was but then when I smelled this Malek al ceeni I realized it was an old mellow sinensis oil. Oh my lord I wish I'd bought more or had a budget with room for this oil in it.

Smokey Wild Agarwood oil from Sri Lanka
The name says it all. Very smoky with a hint of cheese? I'll come back and say what the dry down is. But now lots and lots of smoke!
EDIT: An hour later, still mostly just smoky. A little incense and resin. Couldn't handle the smoke and threw some Patchouli on top. Very nice.

ahh that's a bummer! I wonder if they're still in existence

Today I've swiped on Safwaan by Al Shareef - definitely Hindi in nature but without the typical "barn"...I mean, there's a slight barniness but it doesn't veer into a dung type of smell. This is real good stuff. Perhaps a reddish brown in colour. Super smooth, a tad sweet and very good all around. Looking back on other ASO Hindi's that I've previously owned (and then sold - Hind& Aasifah) then this is far tamer, but I would consider this as better to my nose.

Also just swiped on Yasuke by LMK - a recent purchase thanks to @firdaous
This is POTENT! a greeny/black type of malay, it is reminding me a little of Malay Cola by the same brand, but less "fizzy"/sparkly - it seems more serious. It's reminding me of something, one of Ensar's Tigerwoods perhaps....I had Royale and '95 - both of which I sold :Roflmao:

funny how the circle comes back round, eh?

I couldn't tolerate this one at all! I think the description says "smokey, but not too much" which I couldn't agree with at all. Has a burned plastic vibe to it 🙁

I’m wearing Kagaku from Elixir Attars

This is an interesting Chinese hainan oil and a profile I’ve never experienced before. Rich, warm roasted tea leaves and this caramelized sugary sweetness to it that is almost milky at times. There’s an undeniable ouddyness behind everything that smells like dry woods and incense. The sugary opening lasts for around 30 minutes before a low temp heating sesh emerges. Really interesting and beautiful stuff here.
