Habzoud Oud Altamsah

Habz’s description of this oil is spot-on.
But as we all know, we can have our own individual perception too.
That means......I can add some comments.
How about a cooling vaporousness at the opening, not straight up camphor or mint, and how about some nose smacking oudiness, and how about in addition to Walla Patta and PNG resemblances, add to that Papua and Philippine.
As for acrobatics, very minimal, it’s mostly a steady ride. As for the Borneo, it’s not dominant, the Malaysain is, and very in line with Zamarad.
Not a smokey oil, but indeed a little incensey.
Lastly, it retains an ethereal quality all the way to drydown.

I think is available again ,one of my friend buy it before christmass ,but never on website only private ...check it
I wish i can try some old vietnam from AA

Thanks I sent them a message as I was eyeing the Yunan Imperial which looks wonderful too.

I was able to pick up a gram of it! Thank you!

Oudline Malay super. Spicy Malaysian peppery goodness. I get compliments EVERY time I wear this. It seems universally appealing while still being super exotic. Must conserve this precious stuff...

Great take, mine arrived today as well as the new Hindi oil, AlJanah

I wasn't too impressed with Altamsah at first- the Borneo seemed rather present to me, with a vanillic/mintiness - and the Malay giving a nice green vibe. As time went by the borneo aspect receeded and left a lovely trace. TBH I didn't "watch" its development too closely. Longevity was rather average, 6 hours or so and I couldn't detect it

However, AlJanah...

Absolutely no barn whatsoever, ultra clean vibe of a deep woody nature. After about 30minutes the Hindi nature pokes it head through, not in a barny way but in that oh I dunno...Hindi way :Roflmao: just smell it, you'll know what I mean 😀

Also it's approaching 14hrs after a small swipe, maybe 1/4th of the top of a toothpick applicator and is still noticeable. Sublime!

Nagaland Kalakassi Oud - Another one of my friends distillation.

This is the second time I've across a Hindi oud with Borneo notes. This oud doesn't have any notes you would associate with Hindi.

The colour of this oil is green I've seen Hindi's with yellow but NOT green.

Top oil, actually one of the best Hindi's I've experienced.

I need better friends! :Roflmao::Roflmao::Roflmao:

Al Hashimi's Tariq, a Cambodi with a kick. No funk to my nose

And Habz' attar, Adghal, it's vetiver heavy at the top and tbh I've only just swiped it so can't remember how it transitions but it goes deep and woody

I said this morning how I'd used around a quarter of a toothpick for application, well here's that amount in context

! no idea how that picture came out at 11MB...wow
And I take it back regarding Tariq, it's dried down to a Hindi-esque vibe. Interesting

/edit - oh wait, it's an India/Cambodi blend. explains it!

With the Habz oil the vetiver's taken a step back and maybe woody was the wrong way to describe it, but comes off as very rich and dark. With attars I can never pick out oud "as such", even though it's here contributing to its overall smell and texture I can't actually identify any. Besides vetiver I can't pick out any notes in here lmao
