Heaven Smoke "Triple happiness" From grandawood. This is a NICE co2 extract and in general just an all around nice oud. This is the first CO2 extract I've smelled that really competes well with quality distilled oil. The others have been nice but they were sort of in a different category warm earthy fuzzy fragrances. This starts out a bit odd, maybe intense wood extract note is the way to describe it, but there is also a violet-like yet somehow oudy note in there. What's amazing about this oil is its development over time. After the initial intense dry woody note settles in, there are many layers of complex oud fragrance that unfold... quite an array of earthy, bitter sweet scents. The fragrance lingers and continues to project on skin for a very long time - here it really stands out from other oils. Eventually it settles into a really nice sweet poplar bud scent that lasts most if not all of the day.

took me three or four wearings to tube into this oil.

This is soooo nice. Nose 🍬

Trying to figure out what to call it. Higher end oils that arent even trying to pretend like they have strong base notes. But the top and mids are like ouddict crack. Its like this sweet smell through (like see through for noses) ringy clean coppery - feel in my throat almost. So odd. Like space candy type thing. I notice it in a bunch of top driven stuff. This has it, sultan mehmet has it, kyoryoku too.

Mine should be here tomorrow. I’m nervous as it’s my first big boy purchase of Oud!

Do you feel it’s heavy on the Kinam factor?

It’s a super nice oil , I don’t get kinam but it’s a very nice top note
Thanks for the reply.

Since you have blending experience, if I wanted to take an oil that’s top note heavy and beef it up a bit with some basenote heavy oil what’s the best way to go about that? Should I do a little sample size first and then go all in or should I leave it alone?

Bro, try this oil first and I think you would not want to mess with it. It's sublime as is.

Olefaktory Ma’u Xanh La’

From the vial I am reminded of
Berkilau.
On the skin, the top layers
remind me of Kanzen and Oud Mujib,
a few minutes later as I dive into the deeper
layers, the oudh chip factor is apparent,
think Ensar’s 4 figure oils (in all fairness, I have not tried Agar Aura’s Royal oils).
Then minutes later again, more of the heart is revealed, it is nice with fruits and florals......
.....floral like orange honey
.....fruity like spumoni ice cream
Yummmmmmm
Nice work Olefaktory!

Olefaktory's new Vietnamese oud is a complex oil - very rich full bodied top note - really stands out in that regard.

Completely blissed out right now...

I have a collection of about 25 oriscent v vials in 0.15 - 0.2ml...
This morning I was feeling quite stressed so I decided to open some up and let loose a bit.

I have EO Kyara ko Twe on one hand, with EO Brunei Kinam on the wrist.
EO Chinese exclusive on the other hand with pre 2014 ASQ kalakassi 80 yr on the wrist.

I feel like I paired them appropriately, going between the Chinese exclusive and Kalakassi is a mixed scent profile that swims above any kinam I've come across. While for the other two, I don't really have words to describe them individually or the mixed profile other that I'd fork out $5k+ on the spot for a full bottle if it existed...

I very rarely tap into my better oils... but today I felt like I needed some inspiration and upliftment... what is the point in paying for these oils if we cant indulge time to time?

I don't post on here often as I'm a bit anti social at times... but today I felt like it was worth sharing...

I'm glad to have something like oud in my life, I feel like it is a blessing never to be taken for granted, to have something so divine at hand when needed... I hope all those who love oud can appreciate its spiritual component and ability to uplift ones spirits in difficult times and how valuable that is.

Is the Al Janah 2 significantly more stronger and projecting than the first?

Truth be told, I still prefer my Hindi's with a little barn and punch to them rather than the more 'pristine clean' smelling oils which don't seem to awaken my senses quite as much.
Brother @Bilal
I took some time to experience the Oud before responding to you. I have not been able to experience the Al Janah's debut version.
The Al Janah 2 to me smells like Chinese oud. Clean and crisp. No barn at all, no lactic. Also, it very mild, not at all strong or projecting.

These are my humble thoughts about my experience with Al Janah 2.

Brother Habib generously sent me a sample of Oud Ghazal and Hasana.

The Oud Ghazal stands out for me. Liked it very much.

I wore Akkad by Al Hashimi yesterday evening.

My girlfriend commented that, as much as she likes the various oils we have, this profile is what she considers an “oud smell”. What she imagines oud smelling like and would never mistake for something else. Oudy

I agree

JazakAllah khair for your thoughts, much appreciated.

Al Janah v1 was also very mild with some hay undertones to it.Its a great reference oil for those who like non-soak extremely clean Hindis mA!

I encourage sampling Oud Ghazal. I rate it higher than some Malaysia Ouds. I love the opening, wet hay like smell.
This was impressive for me, and also pricy 😅

No need to apologize my friend! I should have made myself more clear anyways. I’m always half tempted to combine oils but then I realize i don’t know what the heck I’m doing.
So I'm a noob thus I have various oils and boatload of CPO's from big shiny franchise houses. So my attempt at layering not mixing was easy to do ($$$) U found an odd little Rose muskallat that extended an oud and provided a nice undertone . Mixing just feels like it would mess up stuff and make a muddy mess
