OudBase - Ceylon Nirvana

no oudiness. no opaqueness. no artistic distillation tricks.
just pristine, transparent air of Sri Lankan oud's jungle nearby a riverside.

you don't add additives to make lemonade when you have great lemons.
just like that, C.N is an oud oil juiced as it supposed to.

I finished the last of my Hawa Jinko sample from Al Hashimi last night. Woke up this morning to a lovely soft rosey oud that had facets of something like sandalwood on my arm. Imagine a quality wild Hindi in which every element has turned pretty and pink.

Amir Al Hind on the left and Omar on the Right. Both from the house of An Najwa.
A treat for the Hindi lovers. I want say more but after wearing both a couple of times.

The Ruh Khus received is beautiful, may be comparable to the one from Tabeer Oud this year. Want to compare them possibly this weekend.

Al Hashimi - Ibn Zaydun

This was sent to me for a blind smelling purpose and I've been testing it for over a month.

Strong projection and complexity. opens up with tangy dark plum, wine, Dr.pepper, cola, incense.
10 minutes in, Malay green oudiness, medicinal herbs. and cookie-ish sweetness comes out after that.

not my cup of tea. too much in-your-face tanginess, herbaceous. and very alien to my nose.
Ibn Zaydun shares many properties with Ibn Zamlak but it lacks subtlety and elegantness.

I'm curious what others think about this one. can anyone else who tried this oil share their thoughts?

Brahamaputra and Al Janah2 today. Can't really figure out the difference.😕

I find these new type of Hindis quite similar, was thinking the same with the Al Hashimi Hawa Jinko that I was wearing today. I've come to accept that my nose isn't nuanced enough to pick up much differences with oud!
