Oh yeah, no raspberry for me either. Its much more of a woody cedar type of borneo than a raspberry or vanilla-cinnamon like Borneo3k or Ertugrul. Smells pretty identical to many other Borneo oils and to me it's not super interesting for that reason. I mean if I wanted to smell cedar wood I would take a walk and smell cedar wood, I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars for that aroma.
I wear Oud Ertugrul fairly often. I get raspberry coulis on the applicator wand and then this deep beautiful purple powder orris incense on the skin. Long lived on the skin. Is this close profile-wise to Malinau oils like, say, the 3000 that EO is currently peddling in 2.5g-only format? I’m divided on where to take my next acquisition, into White Kinam, Kinam Royal, the Malinau or veer off into lovely Vietnamese kyara-y things currently available. Borneo oils are the least represented in my library, closely followed by Vietnamese.

Vietnam Nui Cam from Aroma Sublime aka Agar Aromas

This thing is getting better and better. Spicy fermented grapes, deep resinous plum notes and a slightly animalic kick that borders the edge of cheesy/barn without ever hitting that space. Really it’s just a bit musky but it smells more like a facet of the wood itself.

Drydown is creamy and incense-like. Not Smokey but like the afterglow of burning incense. Then it finishes off with green tea and citrus. Lots of tenacity. Solid performance.

Im not sure as I haven’t tried mal3000 but I’ve seen a few people on the EO Fb group say it’s basically like Ertugrul but a slight notch better. I already have a few Malinau oils so that one seems like a waste of money for me.
White kinam and pinoy ltd are both winners, I would skip RK2.0 honestly.

Swipe of Purbakala on one wrist and a swipe of Oud Hindi Global’s ‘incense-grade’ Hindi.

Purbakala is so dark and woodsy. Sassafra overload. Cloves overload. Ancient woods overload.

Azeem’s Hindi almost smells Cambodian at first but then clearly displays strong Hindi facets of golden hay, suede, and grapefruit rind.

Would love to hear your thoughts on Halawa

@Al Shareef Oudh
Well I personally cannot verbosely wax poetic like many others on deep nuances because of my limited experience.
Also I will have to revisit this description later since I am at the moment wearing both AlJana2 & 3 for comparison.

I like #2 more for some reason. And am just delighted that I can discern the difference.

But Halawa impressed me! There is a little incense, but old book melancholy happening as well. And since I am bottle sniffing instead of reviewing a maturing swipe there's a bit of powerful spiciness on initial load.... I would have to defer to the web site description because of my neophyte status --- "debuting with a lemon grass top and a ginger green opening" I have NEVER experienced ambergris and as I said I am just btl sniffing so we are only going to get initial notes in this description. However if your looking for some stellar overall review -- all I can say is I see what it is out of stock!

I am very very glad I paid attention to the forum and grabbed myself a bottle!
I wish my bottle was 25ml instead of 2.5. If I could afford it I would use this one liberally and generously.

Just out of wild passing neophyte curiosity would you share with us how many milliliters you started off with from this particular Oil. Or for example the AlJanas. When you initially have them available how much product are you starting off with ?

Again just curious, I am sorry if that is intrusive I was just wildly wondering how much product
is made generally for a given line " if you will "

Thank you so much for the wonderful Oil and samples
Grace and Peace upon you and yours in all things

Thanks for getting back. I was more interested in seeing how you felt about the oil that you bought out of frustration 😂. I read earlier that you had tried a few other oils and were a little disappointed.

Al Jana I believe is one of @Habz786 oils and whilst I haven't smelt this one, every other one that I have smelt from his collection are top notch oils.

As for how much oil I distill in every batch really depends on how much of that wood I can get. Anywhere from 2 toola (22ml) to about 1000ml.

Halawa was on the website for about a year or so, and you were really lucky to get that bottle, because as you were shopping a perfumer was negotiating the remainder of that stock for one of their up coming perfumes.

You might wanna check out an oil we re-released last week, the notorious A'meen.
