Pulled out Olefaktory’s MXL last night. WOW

Talk about a blast of terpy, buzzy green honey and vanilla florals. What a lovely oil this has aged into. Absolutely stunning. If anyone wants to let theirs go let me know 😎

I’m working on my next Vietnamese oil at the moment and the smell around the pot is very promising!

IO Kejalasan Kedah - still think kejalasan kedah its the highest quality wood used in a malay oil .All this 3 are very similar but the deepness in Kejalasan is crazy ,and this oil was arround 400$ bottle in 2015

I like the deep woodiness that dominates this. It is the same woodiness I get from Tigerwood 90 and Royale. Is this the trademark of the malaccensis species?

Certainly the scent of the day but not exactly Oud. This is Daphne bholua, Thymelaeaceae , same family as agarwood. Planted in my friends garden here in Dublin.

Craft Oud - King ASK

Craft Oud - King Kalakassi

Had a legit emotional response smelling these oils. Hindi Sultan and King ASK are probably the best things I’ve put my nose on this year.

New kalakassi distillation from OHG. Strong leathery Opening. Drydown is incensy and lasting for a good time, 6 hours atleast.

Wearing King Kalakassi today from Craft Oud.

KK smells like a mix of Yellow Kinam and Incense with a hefty dose of sinking grade Borneo wood.

This is the reminder I needed to start wearing my Hindi’s a bit more.

the fruit in this one is very lively and "popping".
no mulled wine, just a bunch of freshly harvested tropical fruits...

Assam Trésor from LuckyOud

On first sniff: Traditional bitterness, just the right amount of barn and incredibly complex.
I feel like a nice balance has been stuck with dark and bright nuances in this one.
I have been away from oils for a while now and this is taking me for a spin. Need to give a couple more wearings.

Craft Oud - Kakojan

Earthy, floral, a tad fruity and spicy tea. Overall sweet, resinous and ouddy. Very nice for a Hindi. I love the floral side of these oils a lot.
