Suvanda Forest from OudBase... takes one back to the heyday of Sri Lankan Artisanal Oud in 2017. If you missed out on the amazing Sri Lankan oils from the unfortunately now-defunct Imperial Oud who were the pioneers of this genre, then this oil is on a par with their best Sri Lankan oils.

Habzoud: Pursat Maliki
Medicinal oud vapors, narcotic florals and juicy fruits. Some therapeutic herbs, like you're at an Asian herbal shop, spices and ambergris, reminds you of the aura near the creek in middle of a forest. The medicinal oud vapors are intense, and it is like orange-zest, and musk with a touch of tobacco. Beautiful oud from Cambodia.

Pursat Maliki is absolutely beautiful !!
The perfect balance between Sweetness, Bitterness, Saltiness, Smokiness and intense Incense !
I did long times Motocross when I was young ! And this oil remind me the
« 2 stroke strawberry samuraï Ipone oil that you mix in gasoline »
And even more the gaz coming out from my Yamaha 250 YZ ^^
Then I get spicy and medicinal herbal and cinnamon with a satisfying Oudiness !
Addicting oil ! I find it better that Al Asad!
No doubt my favorite Cambodian oil with JS Cambodi essenza !
Habz Altamsah is really amazing !
Remind me lightly Emperor of kedah with less sweetness and more muskiness ! I noticed a cedar wood vibe and even high grade palo santo nuances… ^^
I am still looking for this oil and I am able to pay every price to get some more (Al Maliki also)

I am fortunate and thankful that Habz was able to offer me a bottle of this beautiful oud.
For me, the description from Habz was spot on. High quality, sweet, oceanic, old trees, books, leather, a hidden temple....these are some of the words that come to mind when I wear it. Truly beautiful and unlike anything I currently own. It puts me in a contemplative and meditative state so I think I will save this treasure for special occasions.

This oud is from dear Taj Ul Bakshi's private arsenal. He was kind enough to spare some for me. It was distilled around 2013, I am extremely happy to get a whiff of this gem of a Hindi oud.
It is not barnyard at all, just an ultra-smooth dark Hindi, dark fruits aplenty, tobacco, sweet-dark molasses, and I'm telling you a whiff of this gets stuck in your head, you will never forget it. I have Oud Khidr, and this is from that genre of Hindi oud.

Went back to Malays from ASO today. Ghaith and Halawa are a nice contrast: the smooth fruity organic qualities of Halawa set off against the burning pineapple/coconut incense of Ghaith.
I’m interested to know too. Their website is down, no response on Instagram…

Pursat Maliki opening like Al Asad with a Strawberry note a la JS Pursat QI and the beautiful medicinal overtone ! Rich sweet powdery , and Bitter sweetness! Some honey and vanilla !
No doubt my favorite Cambodian oil from Habz and growing in my Top 3 Cambodian oils ever tried !
Cambodi Royal is THE STRAWBERRY smoked in a plate that should be invented in high culinary restaurants! with a special richness of a sweet resinous Oudiness! Mashallah ! It’s like an old oil but nothing barny !
It share some richness that I get in Lao Xiang!
This oil is different than all other Cambodian I smelled before …
I am amazed by The Oud Lab oils …
Lao Shan is Man !! Lao Xiang is his wife !
Such Deep , Rich , Sweet But not so much and resinous oil!!!
Take Lao Xiang , take off the sweet flowers, put on the dark woodiness and the maturity ! Give him a big Beard !

This smell Old !! I can even get some EO Tigerwood faces even if it’s Thai !
Charismatic oil ! Not sensual like Lao Xiang !
It’s Masculine oil instead of Lao Xiang…

Ok Maharaja smell almost identical to RPP Manipur & Meghalaya !!!
The balance between the new gen of Hindi and traditional Hindi is done perfectly ! Clean resinous vanilla cream with a caramelish and cocoa bean with a nuts and gentle incense !!
No barn at all but not as clean as Al janah or Jinkoh Lokma … !
Smooth animalic but Nothing like Ensar Oud shuayb of Arafat …
It’s between the two schools !
Clean new gen , and old traditional !
Maharaja remind me why I love so much Hindi oils !
