Hello ouddicts 🙂
The Oud Lab Lao Xiang
Craft Oud Hind 20
Jinkoh Cambodi Essenza

Lao Xiang is my favorite Thai oil ! It get the perfect balance between sweetness and resinous bitterness with florals and muskiness ! It remind me Siam SK… not as clean but with much more power, more incense and more richness ! It’s deep oil and the dry down is fantastic ! It’s sweet , it’s resinous, it’s Ouddy !!
Serious Bang for buck for an oil between the old traditional distillation and clean new gen oils ! It get the high volatility notes that we all love in AA oils, with an old traditional oils with heavy base notes and fabulous dry down !

Hind 20 remind me Ensar oud Shuayb a lot !! Smooth barn from the opening like a zoo or circus wild animals (Lion , Tiger )
And berries coming after that with some hay and leathers !
Crazy Oil for the price !

Cambodi Essenza start with clean and sweet cranberries jam ! With a light acidity fruity smell of cranberries !
First smell give me immediately the Marius signature of clean sweetness !
Amazingly wearable as all Marius oils !
Opening remind me honeyed vibe like EGY or Pursat QI without tobacco, The heart note remind me VSK and some face of Kham Lao or even lightly King K Nam ! The dry down is typical crassna powdery flowery oudiness …
Amazing Bang for buck

Good evening dears Ouddicts

@Habz786 - Nasir. Shout-out to @EJayB for recommending this one. It's a real regal smelling oil with that got a resinous glaze with hints of sweetness and leather. Dry and masculine. This is one of those oils that stands out from the pack. I love newer age "kodo" smelling oils too don't get me wrong. But when I'm personally buying oils, I like the ones that have the mid and base core of oud that is unmistakably oudy. Goal for 2022, get my nose on more fili oils!

Imperial Oud Yunan Imperiale

... I'm enjoying this more every time I revisit it. There's an animal character that extends beyond the funky opening that you find in the first half-hour of some oils. It's not at the level of traditional Hindi oils and I suspect that this one may not have been fermented at all but you'll notice yellowing summer grass and musk pod skin in the "blend".

Focusing on my job until the orange zest that's the hallmark of Chinese oils came to the foreground. The sweet medely in the drydown is soured with pomelo and grapefruit.

Al-Janah 3 by Habzoud

Beautiful creamy galore, buttery-rose, sweet-bitter glaze, spices (cardamom), biscuits, and incense. One hell of a Hindi, I was scratching my head when I first wore it, I thought this can't be Hindi, brother Habib probably gave me some sandalwood oil or something lol. But this is a avant-garde Hindi oud that must be in your collection to swipe it sometimes and experience possibly the most unusual Hindi oud ever.

Al Hashimi - Saba Jinkoh

The feeling of an Autumn forest; damp leaves, wet stones, berries.

I had some time to kill waiting for a friend near a department store and went in to see if there were any interesting fragrances. There weren’t, it all seemed pretty grim. But there’s always Guerlain. Asked to smell Mitsouko extrait on a card and later in the day was struck by how well this perfume compliments the oud oil. The oakmoss, floor wax, vetiver notes matched Saba Jinkoh really well in my opinion.

Oudh Prachin by LUX Oud.......
Fruity opening....leather....wet hay....quite enjoyable after an hour.....
Of an interesting note to me is the following........
I can not (mostly) wear Oudh as it irritates my skin so I have taken to swiping some on my blanket on my bed.
I noticed the scent the next morning, where as this one (Can be worn) on my skin....the notes change from an opening fruity....wet hay type notes and the base is more dark ripen fruit.....
But on the blanket it consistently gave of mainly the dark ripened fruit and wet hay type notes....
This could be the difference my skin makes in the mix...
Just an interesting observation I have made......
