If I may ask, which one did you guys like the most and why?
Hi bro for me, all 3 attar are stellar, if you ask me to rank it, I will placed as below:
Purple haze
Oud Tabak
Badshah

Purple haze for me, had really addictive smelling, Well blended of florals & oud, to my nose, the floral waft smelled like mixture of rose, iris & lavender, creating woody ethereal floral waft along with really resinous, incensy oudy vibe. Sound simple but it smell very beautiful. I won't said it was super complex but the blend is just so smooth & I keep on wanna sniff it ☺️

Oud tabak is really nice tobacco and oud attar. Really prominent tobacco note, to my nose, it's smell green, herbal, almost medicinal. It's dark, resinous with nice touch of smoky note. This tobacco blend smell really good, I kinda felt it was very oud dominant ( really hard to explain) and also it doesn't have gourmand facet which I find normally pair with tobacco in attar.

For oud oil I sampled, all are good to be honest. Just depend on personal preference. Lao xiang just hit my soft spot. I read the description like it was aged oil, but to my surprise, the top note is quite clean and vaporous, I tend to have presumption that aging oil have less interesting top note with heavy base. But this oil is quite unique in a way. I am getting bright, airy floral with lightly musky & very delicate & addictive.

Drydown is all about pure oudy goodness. Rich caramelized molasses with dark, deep incense. I could imagined the oud using to distill it was those dark colored, with full of resins type of wood.

Hello Ouddicts 🙂

JS Royal Tripura
JS Cambodi Essenza
CO Lankan Haze
TOL Silensis

Royal Tripura is a sensual clean Hindi with florals notes and addicting beautiful women skin smell … it’s just the most pleasant Hindi I smelled !
Like King K Nam , this oil give me a special feeling and that is why I love it soo much !
This oil is wild but nothing barny or animalic…
It’s more Human or Women ^^
My favorite Hindi oil ever !
I have lots of Hoping with the new Hindi Oils from Marius …
Royal Tripura is actually the most Beautiful clean Hindi I tried !

Cambodi Essenza is a cambodi of course but … to my nose it smell more like Vietnamese and particularly Vietnan Spécial K or even King K Nam nuances…
You don’t have the Narcotic effect of KKN but you have the representation of the spectrum … you can smell the shadow of it , not the feeling !
Anyway it’s an amazing oil with Berries, vanilla, nuts and buttery cherry jam !
I get white chocolate !
The dry down is Like clean Cambodi DNA … powdery floral and Oudiness …
Sooo nice !!

CO Lankan Haze opening like fireworks !
Almost alcoholic terpenoids with herbal like Hash and smoke ! Very clean ! Very nice ! No animalic , but ocean breeze smooth Ambregris drying saliva … it’s pleasant and interesting …
Need more time with this oil

The Oud lab Silensis is very satisfying !
It’s like clean sinensis opening , moving in Silani base , and drying down in middle Clean Hindi DNA …
Very interesting oil with complexity and development !
Need more time with this oil also !

I wish you all a very Gooud swipes Ouddicts 🙂

Sounds lovely. Google didn’t turn up a website - do you have a link?

I found a Yunan oil (Yunan Vintage) distilled in 2008, acquired from Imperial Oud in 2018.

Begins: civet (has toned a lot), leather, honey, mint, camphor, smoke tree, black tea, touch of angelica root, ambrette seed.

Heart: Leather, honey, Chinese medicine shop like spicy smells, golden hay, benzoin, Peru balsam, some medicinal and astringent aspects of it reminds me of Vietnamese oils (just a touch), ambrette, etc.

Trail: Hay, slightly 'caramelised' labdanum, styrax, Hindi oudiness and possibly trails of myrrh and opoponax.

The animalic facets of it was pretty strong at the time. Now it has morphed into this golden honey, hay and oudy affair - almost like a Hindi oil. I wore it only once in 2018. This is what happens when you have too many samples!

Had a chance to check out the two new Feel Oud oils. Agar de Philippina and Bengal Emerald. Both interesting oils. The Philippines oil is gorgeous. Very basenote heavy. Lots of resin/oudhy goodness. Somewhere between an oil like Oud Royale 2(but less smoky) and Al Hashimi’s Akkad. There’s a touch of animalic petrol notes like Tigerwood Royale or Hainan 05. But overall it’s a very satisfying Oud that really shows the heart and base notes of gooey Pinoy Oud. Sweet/savory.

Bengal Emerald is a strange one. Very funny. Definitely Indian. With some traditional notes verging on ferment but also this green facet that adam talks about. Almost a bouya style green. The whole thing comes together in an interesting way.

One of my fav oils. Too bad I only purchased 1g

I'm revisiting more notable oil over the past year or two.

SIAM - AL SHAREEF

If prizes are given out for "mighty oils", this one's on the short list. Not pretty and approachable like many of its Thai brethren, its opens with a slap so hard one wonders if veins flow with Assam.

The mid and base notes are a wonderful and sonorous knit of camphorous mint, dusty book vanilla and cherry in , but overlying that hint of barn and a furious note of animal blood and sweat. Its like getting slapped with a bloody hide carved from a living stud bull.

Projection is outstanding, the blood and sweat note mellowing but retaining primacy even hours in.

Best for: Can't wear it in public and its certainly not meditative. Very nice oil that I'm happy to have, but most likely save for a death match or climbing a mountain.

I have been having some recent success wearing oils from my Oudh collection, without to much irritation on my skin. Mostly because my swipes are more small dots but still quite effective for scent....
Today I am trying Agar Aura KYORYOKU.....
It has a clean opening and and a very fruity middle with, what I detect as a Camphor note abounding.....I applied some last night and I had a good whiff of it still, this morning...and most importantly, no irritation....

Also of note...this morning here in Dublin it was about -2'C....and as I stepped outside I immediately noticed a much stronger scent profile then when inside the house. First time I have really noticed weather having an effect on the Oudh...
Very interesting....lovely oil.....
