Hikayat Seri Karas

I think this is beautiful for a young oil. I've seen it compared to Hutan Hijau but I think they really are two very different categories. I see the connection, because both are green and forestry, but to me they are like two different parts of the forest. Hutan Hijau is near the forest floor, with rich mosses and fresh dew. Seri Karas is up in the trees and vines, with the smell of fragrant leaves. To me, Hutan Hijau has a surprising pear note, especially pear skin, which gives it a refreshing bitter touch. Seri Karas is more sweet and sour than bitter, and I smell sour apple rather than pear. I haven't smelled apple or pear in any other oil before, so maybe that's one more similarity between them!

"Lao xiang" - a generous sample given to me from The Oud Lab
beautiful, dark, deep. old school vibe.
i mainly get a cola-incense like smell that is resinous and oudy.
the touch of cooling camphor in scent combined with the sweet woody resin gives me an abstract image of coca cola in my brain with quarter sugar. very hard to describe this one.

I have tried a new artisanal oud house, Oud Tripura. He is a distiller directly from the village in Tripura, India. He distills the oud's and so you will be getting the oud distilled by the man himself. All his oud's are wild from the jungle and not artificially inoculated or cultivated.

Oud Tripura:

Inaayat:
distilled 2022, Jungle: Tripura

Opens very strong, not fecal or cheesey notes. Just strong barn and animalics, with a smokiness mixed with chocolate. Then the barn slowly becomes gentle and a chocolate-y hay surrounds you with the smoke dialed down to a lower degree. The spices are strong with this one, and at the beginning I got lots of spices, like cinnamon, cardamom, and clove. But everything comes together to become a beautiful smokey and a bit on the wild-side of barn, hay, and a musky dry down follows.

Price: $40/gram

Distilled: 2022, jungle: Tripura

This is a new-gen (unsoaked) style distillation. I was surprised by this oud, no one will believe this to be Indian oud. Starts with honey-glazed cardamom and very gentle oud smoke on low heat. Gives you the feeling of eating biscuits and tea in the afternoon. No barn or hay at all, like not even a little bit, nope. People might think this is a buttery sandalwood before they even think of it as oud and a Hindi oud at that, they will be confused 😅 I have tried new-gen Hindi oud's and I can't believe the value you get for this, I have tried a oud similar to this and it's selling for double of this. I think getting it directly from the distiller helps you to experience these beautiful oud's for much cheaper, and it will also help him to distill more wild oud's from his locale at Tripura. Best bang for your buck if you want to get a taste of the new-gen, unsoaked, clean Hindi oud.

Price: $105/gram

Hello Ouddicts 🙂

Jinkoh store Royal Viet
Jinkoh store Royal Meghalaya
The Oud Lab Thaqeel S

JS Royal Viet is almost identical to Kinam Rouge and it’s unbelievable how it’s close in terms of feeling and smell … maybe RV is cleaner than KR … withe more nuances …
This oil is the opposite of AA King K Nam cuz it smell like old traditional Viet oil without any barn of course ^^ but clean animalic aspect ! This is wild !
This is sweet and bitter ! Fruity and incensy !
Marius sharing a new aspect with this oil… it’s not like the usual clean new gen Marius oils !!
This oil remind me immediately EO Kinam rouge !! This is complex and the only thing I don’t find in this oil is the olive note that I found in Kinam rouge or Kinabang and Siam Sk …
This oil is really beautiful ! I need more time to understand this complex oil ^^

JS Royal Meghalaya is between the two worlds , Clean new gen Hindi oils and traditional Hindi oils !
No barn but animalic vibe give a wild punch in this oil …
It’ remind me TOL Maharaja with more honey !
This is very nice oil with good projection and power !
I get hay , honey , vanilla and nuts… with strong Hindi DNA
Between clean Hindi oils and traditional Hindi … lovely oil really !

TOL Thaqeel S is the little sister of Kinabi Koh … kinamic with honeyed powdery cinnamon and vanilla ! It’s like Kanbi Koh with less complexity But still amazing oil !!
At the first sniff you can see it’s not the same oil but similar , and fatter few hours the dry down is very very similar ! Crazy oil !

I wish you all a very Gooud Swipe 🙂

Panbari Reserve by Ahom Oud

Have this oud since 2019 and it's been aging to a fine Hindi oud liquor. It's balsamic, animalic has smoothened out superbly, lots of fruits and honey-tobacco jam, and a beautiful sweet smoke that is subtle but intertwined throughout this oud. I regret getting only 1 gram, this is a tola-worthy oud. Keep it in your stash for years and enjoy the fine progression aging can do to a fine oud.

Smelling ejayb’s cultivated kinam from the bottle (first batch). The top note today was reminding me of cassie absolute - like a mimosa violet cucumber birch bark cocktail. Reminds me of some of IO’s high end sinensis oils a bit. Nice clean sweet smell… fresh and floral on top of the sweet oudy heart. I have so little of this I rarely apply any but sniff the bottle regularly.

Royal Mamberamo…
I am so sad to missed this oil as I only have sample of it …
It’s the only oil that smell like this … I never smelled something close to this one . It’s like perfume ! I get strong floral note that I identify as Rose , and fruit juice with acidity ! Pepper and chilli pepper ! With oceanic vibe and iodine Breeze ! When I received this sample , Marius recommended me to get this oil as it’s rare profile and I was focused in EOC and I was not trained to recognize the potential of this oil… I am so sad to missed this oil… if anyone selling it please let me know ^^

i wish you all a very Gooud day 🙂
I have 1g and will sell
