Triple happiness from Grandawood.
What are your thoughts on this one? I thought it was quite good for a co2 extract.

Two ouds of the day:

Royal Kinam
Super Hoi An

The former is a clean fuzzy scent from top to bottom. The latter has some real swamp to it - especially noticeable in contrast to the RK.

On the left ASO Leen
on the right JS Malay Essenza.

Aside from Leen’s similarity to Halawa, I get an AA Ayu vibe too. Smells very settled with a mellow, pretty scent. There’s a tiny nutiness which makes this oil delicious.

Malay Essenza has a liquor vibe with a little tobacco and a touch of wood……all riding on a big resin wave that’s a bit frank-ish (frankincense). Some progression into sweet black tea, syrupy molasses, and some fruit.

I love this oil except for the opening. Charred fruit, brown sugar and fresh pressed groundnut oil opening. After this is quite nice, sweet Vietnamese, honey, cinnamon anise. I gets hints of sandlewood, leather and powdery vibes.

I don't burn wood, have zero experience with actual kinam. Some people do comment about its kinamic facets.

Wearing agarwood co2 total today, purchased from Liberty Natural Products at least a decade ago.

This is a greasy dark brown paste - more or less the viscosity of toothpaste. Smell is clean, dry, woody, some waxy / crayon aspects, some “wet paint” in that nice oud sense, with a subtle sweet oudiness pervading. It is somewhat reminiscent of dry woodiness of Sandalwood co2 extracts (but lacking the santalol aspect of course).

So I received Dr. Incense Lotus Oud!! Very beautiful composition! Ever since I tried his Taif Oud I was in love with it even tho I sold it because I am obsessed with kyara woods and ended up regretting it. This one is more oudy and the lotus is not loud like the Taif Oud was. It is very beautiful and sad thing is I will probably end up selling this and regretting it yet again....like 90% of the oils I buy. It is a sacred flower for sure!!! The feelings it has produced are worth noting. Pretty blissful indeed!

Between the flu and sandalwood I haven’t worn any oud in awhile! So yesterday was :

AlHind- KawThaung

I’m surprised this one is still available. Fruit, bitter, slight cream. Bought a second bottle as soon as I tried it.

Today I’m going with Green Papau - EO

If this oil were longer lasting I’d buy a full bottle in a heartbeat. Lovely scent though. Green and cream.

Wearing a little “triple happiness” co2 oil from grandawood. This is a strange beast and like most co2 oils puts a strange foot forward. Dry woods over violet or maybe cucumber and sweet sinensis notes, faint vanilla behind it all. It leaves a scent for a very long time and becomes more sweet and the sinensis / Vietnamese oud / cultivated kinam scent becomes more prominent as time passes. Very interesting oil.
