I bought two 3ml oils from a seller I've known a while who flips with small margins, a 2016 Cambodi and '22 Thai for $130 delivered. Not really expecting much and not disappointed, the Thai is ok but unremarkable while the Cambodian is the stankiest I'd ever smelled. It has an unusual sourness. Kinda reminds me if Ajmal made Danh al Oudh Shams with Cambodian, this is what it'd smell like. Funky to the max that transitions over HOURS to a more recognizable, slightly sweet and tart woody scent. Seems to go on forever. Wife came home and thought the cat had peed on the carpet.

Jiwa Pahang by Agar Scents (Mr Osama Shaikh): I waited a year or so to experience beauty of this Malaysian Oud. Now its green crisp and Oudwoody aroma is ripe and sober.
Laotian Oud by Tabeer Oud (Mr Umair): Love this sort of Oud with depth! It reminded me of Semkhor by Imperial Oud. Texture, fragrance and feel, everything is amazing.

Bolisat PDR Lao Super from the early 2000’s

This oil was from well soaked wood - it has a fermented quality - a bit of a cheesy tang in the top note along with some wild ethereal almost floral notes; it has a vibrant musky and spikenard-like heart. There is a certain vague barnyard aspect that pervades this oil, but it’s not the same as the Hindi barnyard. It’s nice as a specimen of this style of lao oil, not my favorite however.

[Ouddict.com] Oud of the Day

Feel oud Chan Ko 3 (no soak Thai oil from natural / organic plantation). Don’t recall when I got this - maybe 8-10 years ago.

This is an unusual oil. Must be applied in very small doses because like many fresh Thai oils it can be a shrieker. In tiny doses, or when given time to settle down, it transforms into a smooth velvety oil with a bit of a borneo vibe somehow emerging along with the typical Thai profile.

the scent of the chan ko oils no 1 and 2 is too intense / cloying for me. They also are ok in tiny tiny dabs or given time to dry down.

Maybe in another 10 years these oils will be more to my liking.

Habzoud Zamarad 2 - this was the first oud that showed me there was something to oud I'd never seen anywhere else - that it could take me to a place I needed to return to... It's still got it. So green and fizzy and heady and spicy.

On the other hand...My wife says it smells like a bandage soaked in solvent. And I can see that and yet would insist it is divine bandages in a heavenly solvent?

Red Cambodi by Craft oud. This is probably one of the cleanest ouds that one could ever come across. For those who keep asking whether there is an alternative to Oud Yusuf, Red Cambodi it is. Even though name says Cambodi, it has more Thai sweet qualities. Instead of berries, dark fruits or molassas, you have apricot, peach, lilacs and vanilla. Huge longevity. Overall, this is enjoyable from top to bottom. Even though my tastes have recently switch to more traditional, animalic side of things, I liked Red cambodi a lot.
