Olefaktory economy Lao for me. This oil like oils from Thailand really brings to mind the scent of riparian zones where poplar and willow trees are abundant. Very nice and an oil I look forward to layering with other aromatics as well.

Eid ul Fitr Mubarak (Happy Eid): It is 'cha'and ra'at' here. And the fragrant aura has been created by the following:
Malaysian by Ensar Oud
Borneo by Craft Oud
Brunei by Imperial Oud
Musk Rose Attar by Mosafir (It was created by me actually.)

Prachin oud from olefaktory’s recent sale. I like this oil! Has a nice complexity in the top note and i detect just a trace of this certain delightful oily tang that some well aged ouds develop… I think this will age nicely and i hope that tang develops more with time.

Got a nice little spicy thing going on… it almost smells like a blend of a typical quality cultivated Thai and some higher shelf material. Yum

Nice! I have never seen angarwood oil “in the wild” in the US where I live - always have to mail order. But I just moved to New York state, so perhaps such an experience is in my future.

I have one oil from this company. Kussosi Kadeem (not sure on spelling). it sort of scratches the oud itch but isn’t enticing or anything.

It is very very rare to find decent stuff in these kinds of stores. If you would come to Nyc, go Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn to find middle eastern goods.

The Attar Store- Fragrant Harbor

Very unique, with a strong projection. More along the bitter side of the kinamic-spectrum than any other Chinese oil I have tried, with potent Chinese herbs, and only semi-sweet.

It had some baffling familiar notes which reminded me of another oil I really like, a Vietnamese one: Agar Aura King K Nam.
Once I perceived this, I decided to test it. Once I applied both of them on different parts of my arm, the similarities were definitely there in terms of the the bitter kinamic aspect. Granted, KKN also has some creamier and berry notes. They're definitely distinct, and I'd never confuse the two oils- but they seem to share some highly reminiscent qualities.

Profile aside, The Attar Store's Fragrant Harbor also has greater projection, with more longevity as well. Personally, I feel its in a similar class as KKN.
