[Ouddict.com] Oud of the Day

I find your account of this oil interesting. What's your experience with projection and longevity?
Hey, it's hard to tell - think I took a bath 2-3hrs after application! think it got washed off in the water, and I've not wore it since 😅
I think it was as with most oils though - decent projection for an hour or two and then becomes very close to the skin. Like yesterday, I swiped an oil onto the back of my hands (it's where I always apply) during work and then had to rush home - I cycle to work, so I rode home without gloves to not 'lose' the oil so to speak but was getting good wafts of the oil from my increased body heat & having the wind blowing it around me. Several hours later I was struggling to detect it.
Ideally I'd get feedback from others but don't feel too comfortable asking my colleagues to smell the back of my hands!

I actually own that oil and have found it very underwhelming. Has some interesting top notes, but then quickly fades out becoming imperceptible. My understanding borneo oils in general are not the screamer type. I have Borneo from oudbar and that performed better for me.

Some Sumuw by Al Shareef (got a complement at work -- surprised because I only had a drop on my wrist), and then some Tuli Oud by CraftOud. Actually wore Tuli to bed last night and fell asleep with my wrist on my face. I love experiencing the notes unfurl as the oil warms up. Nice way to fall asleep.

IO Nha Trang Ultima
Jinkoh Store Pursat Qi
Yusa Aromatics Merauke Noir …

Burning some Brunei with it …
How do you like that Merauke? I wore it yesterday, quite enjoyable.
Today I have swiped Royal Bengal Oud's Sri Lankan Adam's Peak, 2018. I'm not sure if I had this before, I think it was named similar but it was smokey beyond belief, to the point of being unbearable and I sold it. This one is really nice, a bit different to the Sri Lankans that I'm used to, which are cool oceanic, blue/yellow/green hued (e.g. IO's Ceylon Royale) - but comes off as smooth, fizzy and calming, but not having that oceanic vibe.
