Malay Vert from Yusa Aromatics. This is ultra green, misty and cooling. No bitter or weird herbal notes. Very pure in tone and I don't get any immediate associations but it is distinctly Malay smelling. The energy is focused around the heart, it's very soft in the base and the mist comes in the top notes. Amazing value too, a great one for cloud chasing or wearing as a perfume.

Tried a swipe of a sample of Mumtaz from Al Hindi. This oil is a cultivated kinam hainan and Hindi codistillation if I have it right.

The CK seems to impart a nice warm glow and the oil has a kind of gentle and refined feel to it. The Hindi element is not the heavy fermented kind. Pretty much every one of the handful of Hindi oils I have smelled has been like a rush of intense barnyard, so this type of Hindi oud is not one I am familiar with. I am guessing it reflects a lack of a long soak time before distillation.

Having a hard time describing its aroma up close, but walking around the house and smelling it indirectly a while after application, I am getting very pleasant resinous and evergreen wood notes. I don’t detect these notes when I smell it directly -it has to be mixing with the air I believe.

It’s actually Hainan and Hindi (Nagaland and Assam mix)co-distillation with a 3 day soaking.

Apologies - I went and corrected the post.

Purple! Its true. If you never smelled this color in an oil before, you will definitely smell it here. Its a bouquet of purple flowers with a resinous spicy cola and honey background mixed with a slight hint of medicinal quality. Its so uplifting that I would wear it when I feel ill or demotivated to brighten up my mood.
Malaysian oils are growing on me with every oil I test

Amazing oud 💜

From JK ~ A trippy witchy hazel of juicy fruit. Kaleidoscoping into starbursting sours. Washed down with crushed hard candy, glassy eyed rose petals & grape. Into a wine of Jolly Roger incense. A tutti-fruitti Gatorade slushy float, on a bed of OUD. With a ceiling of minty camphor, kiss.

Silani Sultan - The Attar Store.
Wow this oil is superb, a beautiful example of Walla Patta.

Starts off slightly damp & vegetal then quickly shifts into clean aquatic pristine blue / green tones, petrichor, white flowers.
The bottom notes are incensey, mossy, hints of tropical fruit, a honeyed rounded Oud resin note begins to develop & rounds out the sheerness.
Man this stuff is good. Very refined experience.

I’ve got this one, along with some other oils coming from Hamza. Can’t wait to try them. Really excited about this one.

One of my favs

It's been a while.
Sultan Royal 1980s by The Oudist. I'd guess this as a Malay
Thai de Nuit by Feel Oud. Pungent, dark, very different Crassna. Enjoyable

now, let's see if these last more than 20 minutes! I've stilled dabbled in a few oils from time to time since I last posted about not being able to smell oils after a couple of minutes of application, and I've had the same experience 🙁
