I see the seven hills by Mesoud there and I have been enjoying that one a lot I will have to try and put the experience I get from it into words at some point but one thing I will say this time is I find it really complex in a good way, it seems to pull me in different directions in a way I don’t experience in a lot of other oils.

Alhindoud- Firdous
Alhindoud- Lao Gold 2
I had a late night oud meeting and these oils were among the favorites. Quality talks 🗣
that Alhind firdous is great! Sometimes I wish I had favourite regions cos it would save me wishing I could get all the great oils we have available! Especially the artisanal ones! There is definitely something special knowing the hard work the vendors put into there craft! It makes me want to treasure them like artwork.

Hahaha I feel you. I have a favorite region till the next oil from a different region blows me away. A vicious circle 🌀

I was really in love with SB and it’s polished leather, Tom Ford Ombré Leather-esque scent. It smells like a designer leather jacket, or the interior of a supercar. For anyone needing a pure modern leather oud this fits the bill. There’s also bits and pieces of others scents that accompany the leather. Some sweet woodiness, an earthy soily scent, but it’s all gobbled up primarily by the leather.
Have given this a go today and you're right on the money with all of it. I made sure to swipe first and read your review after so as not to be overly influenced by the words you chose but I doubt I could have said anything better or otherwise. Sweet car seat leather. Stunning.

Thank you so much brother!🙏 I’m glad you were able to get the same notes, it’s such a beautiful representation of that style of oil.

It's so good that I am 100% getting a bigger bottle. As you said this one is very easy to love. I'm just dipping my toes in the Gyrinops verstegii species and man this is good. I could wear it every day easily.

I wrote about this oil recently and I believe that my description of it previously was spot on to what I’m getting again. A honeyed leather slightly sour opening. Bits of dusty cacao overloaded by a beautiful coffee note. Same kind of coffee that I found in the wild Merauke oil from Mehmet as well, although I like the Merauke a bit more. There’s a sweetness to the beans, not bitter and more of a sweetened roasted coffee smell with hints of creamer. Slightly mossy woody notes keep things fresh and contrast the sweeter and deeper rich notes of the oil perfectly. They can get a little swampy at times but nothing crazy. Overall this is a top-tier distillation

I feel like you could give it to any fraghead that’s into leather scents and they’d have a new daily driver. It’s clean, refined, perfect for the office or any professional. I love my stanky barnyard ouds and wear them to work whenever, but I can see how some may find a cleaner oil like this perfect to scratch that itch at work.

Well your descriptions are very evocative of the scents, that's for sure.

You could probably get a sample of nearly every oil eden botanicals carries for the price of one "bottle of oud" (deliberately vague unit of price i admit haha)

That plus 500 strips of blotter paper and some ethanol would be a blend of boot camp and disneyland for your olfactory system.
Hear hear to the Eden botanicals suggestion. I thought that very thing when reading @Essentually ‘s comment. The EB sample policy got cut back a bit, but it’s still very generous. I was going to focus on sampling florals for a while until everybody on here got me hooked on Oud again. Thanks guys🤡.

Ive had several aha moments while reading reviews on here where someone has named something that I couldn’t find the words for.
