,But i want to offer them when they are in their real potential, bcz an oil directly coming from pot is may be about 30% of its real potential,And i really dont want that much effort will be judged within 30% potential. So,probably will age my distillations some then will release
Very well said. I agree and support your perception on new oils here. Aging and curing is very important. Judging becomes very difficult or sometimes leads to disappointment when a customer smell the fresh oil. Since the Ouddicts trust you and your process they just jumped right away on it and is a very good sign. 🙂

Good idea

I applied a swipe of Habzoud "Sabah (new)" and holy cow i am smelling something wonderful here. I don't even know where to start this is filled with so many unique beautiful notes - a beautiful multilayered landscape of scent...

you can tune into different layers depending on how you approach it - there is a beautiful deep dark chocolate and resin layer that you can bring into focus by smelling closely and it is distractingly beautiful. I need to smell this again to detail more notes it's very complicated. Beautiful aroma

Each species reacts differently to aging, some species may complete the maturation process much earlier than others, and some species may react differently to aging than others.
I observed huge differences between the first time I tried this oil and after 2 days of curing. Levent is an oil that will react very positively to the aging process.
Also i think LEVENT is the last fresh oil i am offering.
The thing i was offering is a total journey,to see how an oil changes in time, how new notes develop etc, also someone appreciate this and enjoy, but as you mentioned i try to do my best, from wood choice, wood grade, distillation process etc, distilling the woods which, folks hesitate to burn. so i know what i am doing, but after that much effort,Even people appreciate oils when they are fresh,But i want to offer them when they are in their real potential, bcz an oil directly coming from pot is may be about 30% of its real potential,And i really dont want that much effort will be judged within 30% potential. So,probably will age my distillations some then will release
I'm still here for the fresh oils ! Some just don't understand what comes with the full experience , you HAVE to remain open minded no matter your first impression. I always keep in mind these oils are babies & I treat them as such. You need to have patience with babies , right. These oils are nowhere near their full potential & they will only continue to change as they age , just be patient & remain open minded.

This ones a real special oil, the material used was very high quality. The piercing top note is enough to get an idea of the calibre of this oil. I know you was suprised that the Gaharu Uno was so young, this ones younger and less than a month old! I called it AlTaaj meaning Crown in Arabic.

That is bananas. I thought I had developed an understanding of the signature notes of younger oil but based on this and Uno, I was clearly way off the mark. These two oils pretty much upend everything that I thought I understood about young vs. aged oil.

2nd impression...wow ! Opened a bit different today , this thing came out swinging with smoke/incense shooting straight to my brain ! The bitterness which I wasn't a huge fan of the first time around has taken a backseat thankfully. It's crazy how rapidly these fresh oils change. This oil isn't even a month old yet , can't wait to see what's to come ! Mehmet's artisanal distillations without a doubt sit right next to the Oriscents & top AA oils in my collection. Great 2nd impression !

HAHAHAH I LOVE THE NEW NAME. Funny as hell 😂😂.
Thanks bro lol I wanted a unique username that means something to me with "agar" or "oud" in it for so long but I could never think of one. The other day I was thinking about my addiction days & when I was still getting high my choice of drug was Oxycodone.....then it finally clicked ! As oud is my drug now , Oudycodone !

Makes sense, lol. I like it.

I’m not a distiller, but I’d like to mention my two cents or in this case one cent. A fresh oil kept in vial/bottle may age differently compared to the same fresh oil cured in certain ways. I remember Taha using argon gas to top his containers, within another containment unit for curing some of his oils.

I guess curing and aging is an art in itself, another way for an Artisanal Distiller to express his desired result.

It’s nice that mesOUD offered fresh oils for people to experience what they are like super fresh, but I can underdtand that for the sake of his art brother Mehmet would want to take a fresh oil to it’s full potential.

Merauke by mesOUD

Lovely notes starting off with the distinct Merauke agarwood note, then seconds later the super dark green resinous notes, green jungle bitterness with a sweetness in there, Merauke agarwood burning or heating away incense notes that is somewhat always there even 1.5 hours in. As it transitions the jungle notes become quite strong (and they get stronger at the 1 hour mark), with a dark, dark jungle, oceanic + swampy note, so clean and dirty notes combined, the distillers made this oil out of modern day Merauke and made it in such a way it captured all the pleasant notes of the wood. Then a more unique, creamy vanillic note came into play for a while and hops in and out, forest notes in the background but still very prominent. Forest notes have all this dark greenery to it, with lots of bitter notes but the creamy vanilla note kind of a balances it out. An hour later the dark dark greenery forest notes come back super hard but in a more, less bitter and mature way, with the sweet creaminess and oceanic notes helping the bitter note to not overtake.

Oh and there is a nice, dark, strong mintiness that is also cooling.

All in all, a very good (wild) Merauke oil!!!

I applied another swipe - the opening is lively, there are some punchy marzipan/bitter almond notes but they are more restrained and don't dominate so much as contribute to the bouquet. The body is nice and rich, resinous. The last application left a very nice dry down / skin scent - lingering tantalizing spicy/ woody notes occasionally wafting by. Color is green by the way.

"marzipan/bitter almond", is this what I'm getting from the Uno and Raja? I haven't smelled these before in others I have but they're quite clear in these oils.

Vietking
was carefully applied this morning. A light swipe on both wrists, much smaller than I usually like to use. Off the bottle and initially is a deep red dark berry note. Classic antiseptic/acetone berry wine that reminded me a lot of the opening of Grand Emperor Hue from Jinkoh Store. A minute later in comes sugary sweetness. Cinnamon roll like spice and brown sugar delight. Some breaths of vanillic woods too. These red metallic berry note interplay with the tooth aching sugars constantly as you’re smelling this one. Over time the berry sweetness dies down, the metallic tinge fading. The sugars are still present but the classic crassna woody drydown is now there. I’m reminded a lot of the CK chips I’ve listened to on the subitism smelling this one, just drizzled with vintage Vietnamese crassna complexity all over.

Later in the day I did my second swipe of Levent. Greeted again initially by a dry and acrid sulfuric gasoline note. It’s still the main thing coming out initially. Once smelling deeper I get an oceanic mud and bitter cacao. It feels very dry and acrid in the beginning, pepper like. After sitting for a bit I noticed a floral sweetness. Almost like a rose. There’s candy like sweetness with the oceanic ethereal gasoline present heavily. Even further in the drydown it smells more like my Raja Hijau or Pahang Malaysian wood. Very similar ethereal aquatic woody drydown to those specimens I believe.

My nose has been absolutely spoiled with greatness today.

I didn't notice it in my brief first examination of the Uno but I am still getting to know that one. I'm holding off on the Raja for now...

What species is the Sabah likely to be? I'm afraid to venture a guess and be embarrassingly far off. Still getting that sorted out...

I'm wearing today a combo of the green Kyara oil from KyaraShine and Oud Said from MesOud. The Kyara oil is too much on my skin so I've been putting a tiny dab of it on the collar of whatever shirt I'm wearing and the Oud Said on my sideburns. I'm in olfactory heaven right now.😁
