I'm wearing today a combo of the green Kyara oil from KyaraShine and Oud Said from MesOud. The Kyara oil is too much on my skin so I've been putting a tiny dab of it on the collar of whatever shirt I'm wearing and the Oud Said on my sideburns. I'm in olfactory heaven right now.😁
Very curious about that kyarashrine oil. Not crazy about the nineregions oils but they seem authentic and as languagescent predicted, performs much better when heat vaporized than worn as oil. This again convinces me that CK oil has to be "cracked" to release its potential. At some point I'll have to try to do some kind of dry distillation experiment, at least on a small scale. I remember dry distilling a wooden stirring stick in AP chem class back in the 80's using a couple of test tubes, a rubber stopper, and a glass tube

I really don't mind it but only in very small amounts plus I have nothing to compare it against. I'm positive I remember reading @language scent saying he had a bottle of this same one? I can't find the post/thread however. Maybe he could give a few more insights?

its ok. first impressions had me excited as it was giving me some oriscent vibes. it wasnt bad at all and better than a couple other ones circling the forum. for the price was great and perfect for attars also

HM Muateq (Sulaym) is a beaut!! Has that old oud sweet and tart tang. my nose is too tired from incense and oud to pull out many details at the moment. Nice heavy mature oud

Oud Said by @mesOUD Abi

Still one of my favorite oils.
Dusty, slightly smoky. After 15+ it gets slightly sweeter and a patchouli note shines trough that reminds me of the Patchouli Heart SFE from PSH pared with clove bud. There is always this kind of somehow salty mineral note in the background

I still try to build a composition around this oil. There is an idea in my mind but I still cannot fully bring it down on paper or lets say down the Glas

Sulaym - Koh Kong 1444 (right)
Cooling feeling upon applying, that was unexpected!

Habzoud - King Koh Kong
I can't help it but this is still KING for me. (I bet there are other oils that are 'better' but this one does it for me)
It's satisfying and soothing beyond expression. It's incensy in the right proportion.

@mesOUD / @YusaAromatics Levant indeed! Another fresh oil that challenges my understanding of what fresh oils smell like, and kind of puts me in my place as far as thinking I had things figured out. I am reminded that real knowledge is hard to gain and can only come from experience. And I just figured out how to use the @symbol to call someone out I feel like a freaking genius. No wait I feel old

Anyway, this is outrageously nice stuff. it's absurd that I'm even smelling this this class of oil.

is appealing, dank, multifaceted, sophisticated. It's got the perfect pre-toast phenolic espresso-rich core, tantalizing scintillating wood, some deep mysterious aspect I haven't figured out yet that hints at forgotten memories, beautiful interactions with some jammy rose extract I have on my other arm. Seriously this scratches the itch - has what I love about the tarakan qadeem but its own unique excellence.

Amazing!

[Ouddict.com] Oud of the Day

Assam Classique, Craftoud. A satin smooth fragrance with subtle notes of milky cacao, dried fruit and tobacco.

Nha trang and papua from Fushigi.

Nha trang is close enough to what I recall from Nha trang LTD to be quite satisfactory. It’s probably not 100% the same since it was distilled earlier but for a fraction of the price, I can live with it.

NTLTD was not an oil that I fell in love with anyway which is why I sold my bottle of it awhile back.

Papua on the other hand, is a very clean, green maroke oil. Reminds a lot of Huang shang but cleaner, less patchouli and carrot seed notes. But still quite similar.

Also got in some new Ambon and “tarakan” woods that I need to try but that shall be for another thread 😊

@YusaAromatics
Malay green and Shah Qinan

After testing both oils two days ago at the OUD IBENTO event they are still in my mind.

I was really impressed with the Malay Green and I wish I bought at least a sample. I love this kind of Malay profiles

And the Shah Qinann was probably one of the most interesting Hindi oils I have ever tested since brother @Obada kindly showed this one to me. Like he said this is a completely out of the box hindi oil, super clean almost fruity vanillic on my skin ??? but still with that Hindi dna in the background

I can also recommend zamarad 2 from Habzoud if you are looking for green malays

Jinkoh store- Emperor Maluku
Top 3 oud oils for me in my collection!!
Amazing ethereal clean, yellow floral, tropical and slightly aquatic opening. It melts down to a tropical fruity fresh mango scent while the vanillic borneo profile shines through it which in combination with the Tropical Mango fruit smells like a mango gelato in my hand, served in a cone of flowers.
Inhaling it for a longer time, the scent goes straight to my brain 🧠⚡️
Mango is my favorite fruit so it has to be one of my favorite oils 😋🥭
