This oil is pretty fucking fire , can't believe I slept on it all this time.

I just moved into my new place so I'm on a bit of a social media break while I get situated but here's some recents.

A beautiful looking line up, I hope to sample some of Mehmet’s oils, as his wood is superb.

Cambodian oud oil (exact region unknown) : basically sweet jam and fermented fruits concentrated in a bottle. With smoke and resin on the dry down. Cheap oil with a scent that can be worn daily.

The Papuan from Al Hashimi is smelling pure Banana 🍌 Mango 🥭 this is amazing how it’s accurate… Gyrinops species smell soo different than usual Aquilaria… this oil doesn’t last very long time on the skin but the experience here is very pleasant… there is an incensy vibe that remind me a lot the low heating of walla patta Gyrinops wood on subitisme…
By the way this oil remind me a lot a recent Silani oil i received from Oxfordouds… such crazy oil by the way…
I will review it soon

Oxfordouds Banthaat is mind buzzing opening à la Taha oils style …
You might believe it’s Laos oil … very close to AA Lao 4k … but it’s Thaï !

The Oud Lab Lao Xiang
This oil is also Thai …
It’s the opposite of Banthaat !
Lao Xiang smell traditional Oudy with a capital « O »
Smell Older with a capital « O »
It’s an addicting smell between clean and smooth musky soothing wild fur smell … it’s the only Oil I know with Lao Shan who got this old Traditional smell still clean but with that big heart and Oudy base …

Lovely oils…
Oud still amazing me even after few years… hard to understand why we are all hooked by this deep oil and not as much by other oils…
I don’t know a patchouliddict forum or anything else forum with passionated like us … even if other Natural Essential oil are nice …
Oud oil is the king of the jungle 😆

Lol offensive ? Also I've seen other guys curse on here as well so ? Search curse words & you'll see...actually way worse & in an argumentative/disrespectful manner. I've been cursing here & there in my posts since I joined this forum about a year ago & I post quite often. When I do I don't overdo it & It's not even in every post. I don't curse at anyone or curse in a disrespectful nor explicit manner. It's usually when I'm extra excited or passionate about something. "Some of us" seems like just you , no one including the Ouddict staff has brought this to my attention before so what's the real problem here ?

and guys can we please keep the language neutral here, I'm not adverse to swearing myself and take no offense to it whatsoever, but I really dial it back on the forum. It's not often we have people swearing here and I think it's better for that.

Be respectful. There’s many religious members here, who don’t want to see you swearing about Oud oils. There’s zero need for it & as Sproaty said, the community is better for it.
Let Ouddict be a civilised place for like minded people to engage without abrasive swearing.

I know that I have thought the exact same thing about certain oils (Looking at some Habzoud oils for example), being a non-English speaker.

I'm not sure I would know where to draw the line on what is and is not swearing. what counts as swear words for those who are made uneasy? One forum that I frequent, the software automatically replaces whatever is on the moderators' list of swear words with some elementary school friendly versions 😂

I have been able to enjoy myself in different social circles where people have different conventions of conversation. I know that it's not personal if someone is swearing out of enthusiasm or something along those lines. I know it's not always appealing to be out of our comfort zones but it all seems pretty harmless to me. I actually enjoy it when someone has an outburst of such enthusiasm that they feel obliged to swear!

Swearing at someone, or conveying the same thoughts without technically using swearwords is where I see something needing attention.

That said I don't feel entirely comfortable using swear words in this context so I also tend to rein it in a bit (but I spent a lot of my life working with middle-school aged kids so that's really just out of habit from dealing with children).

The staff won't bring it to your attention because it's not against the rules. It's just not the vibe here and it looks bad.

You're not the first person to ever use a swear word on the forum, but if you just scroll through the forum instead of searching for swearwords, you will see that very few people are using any swear words.

And for the people swearing in an argument, people don't like that either, even though it's allowed.

Just like any formal setting or if you are having dinner with a particular crowd, you would avoid swearing because it's impolite; not necessarily because it's disallowed. Just read the room.

Obviously & I realized many don't which is why I don't overdo it & never use it an any other way besides enthusiastically.

Thank you. Word that happened the first time I gave Anas a break. With moving & all I haven't swiped Anas in prob like 2 weeks now I can't wait to give it a swipe it's gonna blow me away.

Words cant even express what im going through now! This oil is not giving me a chance to even pin down notes! Amazing! have you ever smelled an oil, and went i want to turn this into a perfume and spray it on me everyday? This for sure is one of those instances!

I feel you bro ! That's one of the things I mentioned when I first gave me thoughts on Anas , it smells & transitions like a perfume. The way the top/mid/base transitions so clear & rapid is really like a perfume. Stunning oil.

The Oud Lab - Lao Xiang
@SamiterkiW inspired me to swipe this oil and I totally agree.
It is probably one of the best representations of an oil that keeps the balance between newgen and old school traditional style oils. Its clean and has no barny aspects at all. It smells Oudy, Old, Resinous, slightly floral, dry woody and musky and has a deep profile with a kinda bright opening. I am reminded of SQ oils, especially purple malay (which is more floral and powdery) or the 90s Malaysian SQ oils. The resinous and deep old aroma gives me the malaysian vibes yet it is a tad more fruity sweet in the heart and drydown than the vintage malays.

The Oud Lab - Lao Shan
The master told me to swipe it as it will be a good comparison and it really is. This one is more dry, woody and serious in comparison, still with the aged vintage profile. It doesnt smell dry woody or green as in some sumatra or sumbawa specimens I tried, which lack the sweet touch and therefore can be overwhelming or too serious. It still has the appealing fruity sweetness but more dialed down than in Lao Xiang.
A beautiful evening with these 2 oils that helped me calm down and redirect my focus for a while during the stressfull phase I am in 😁
