Al Taaj from Habzoud. I usually wear oud on my shirt or jacket since it tends to irritate my skin. But I decided to put the last of this sample right on my wrist. Surprisingly no issues with itching or irritation.

Vaporous cinnamon opening with hints of resin, vanilla, and a little musky. As it transitions it keeps the spicy cinnamon quality and picks up a bit of sweetness. This does give a little bit of a cola note all together.

Overall a wonderful smelling oil I just wish the base was a little stronger. The base notes are really pleasant and reminiscent of a chip on coal they’re just very subtle.

Little bit difficult to get the picture without reflection on the bottle. This is Zamrad 2 - Habzoud. Found some really nice bottles on AliExpress so decided to use one for this special gem.

Has anyone tried NTZ by Oudique yet? I am curious about this one. I'm keen to get a Nha Trang in my collection.
As you’re aware high grade Nha Trang’s are rare & often very expensive! If you’re looking to add one to your collection my suggestion would be to contact Hamza @ Kymya / The Attar Store & ask about his Taiwanese series. Within the series he has 2 or 3 outstanding Nha Trangs distilled around 2010-2011, all of which have that luminous, pristine, floral, resinous very kinamic profile which is exactly what you’re looking for mate.
I own 1g of Nha Trang Qinam & 0.3g of Nha Trang Vintage & both are amazing! The lowest price tag you’re going to pay for an kinamic Nha Trang oil that goes toe to toe with the best of them. I hope Brandon @TheOudDood will also confirm the how good these are + the incredible price vs quality ratio, I know he’s a big fan like me. Hamza’s Taiwanese oils are on the same level as oils that cost 4 times more, no exaggeration.

Although the oils aren’t currently listed on the Kymya website, he’s still in possession of them & will more than likely sell them to you if you contact him via Instagram. Tell him you’re an Ouddict member.
Mate, I promise you won’t need to look elsewhere 👍🏼

Indeed, I do have both of those oils as well, and they're both really high quality. I was just swiping Nha Trang qinan last night 🙂

I'm cheaing a little bit, since I'm not actually wearing it yet. But I just received Yavuz from brother @mesOUD

The presentation is top notch as usual, the new boxes are very nice. And the v-vials with silver caps... what more is there to say about them? They are simply works or art

I cant wait to give this a first wear tonight

Edit:

This opens up with a gasoline smell that I remember from EO Borneo 50k

Once it starts to settle down, waves of sweet, incense-y smoke come rolling in.

And right now I am getting an earthy and gourmand phase, truly delicious!

I’m very grateful that these oils are being offered while they are newly distilled. Just as with all mesoud’s artisanal distillations, it’s such an amazing trip to see how they develop over time. Its clear that these will be gems in any collection

Malay Kristal - Faizal Privee

My first whiff of this felt like a punch to the nose (in a good way). The first associations that were coming to mind were pure oud resin and the kind of chocolate notes you get in good coffee. After trying to wrap my head around it for awhile, I went to look at the product page, and I basically experienced the top, middle, and base notes Faizal described all at once in the opening. With the base notes being the most prominent.

It really reminds me of a good light roast coffee: full bodied, crystal clear flavors ranging from floral and fruity to deep dark and chocolatey. There's some spices in here too. I get the crystalline green notes described, but they're always on top of that dark body.

It's starting to dry down now, and the incense is coming out.

I love Malaysian oud, and this oil has everything I love about Malaysia and oud in general. But, at the same time, I can't think of a Malay quite like this. It doesn't smell like a new oil. It's hard to believe it was disstilled last year. The closest Malay in my (very limited) experience is EO's Tigerwood 1990, but that's a different beast all together.

This was a nice one i had a few swipes of - fusing lively top notes I
associate with some artisanal recent oils with deeper old oud notes I associate more with vintage stock.

King kali - Oudique

Pretty strong minty quality from the bottle and on the skin. Touch of vanilla, woody, long lasting and strong projection.

Good borneo oil especially for the price point. This minty cooling quality is really something unique and special that Ive found in heating some borneo woods but not usually in an oil, so this is nice.

Harimau - Yusa

This one did not appeal to me initially but after swiping it again, it’s a really complex multi faceted aroma profile. The base in a bit of a sweet kelantan sort of malay profile with a bunch of other dark earthy coffee esque notes dancing around on top. I am enjoying it and looking forward to seeing how it unfolds.

Nha trang zeitaku - Oudique

After comparing it next to Nha trang qinan, I can see this one has the sinensis leaning baseline profile of nha trang. It’s a good oil and I would recommend it.
