I think this is on another level. It starts with a powdery bitter opening similar to Oriscent aesthetics, only for 1-2 minutes and then moves to floral nutty sweet heart, the most beautiful nutty note in any oud I tried before. The final stage is honey cinnamon woody, similar to HK oils. It's like 3-4 different oils in one oil.
I actually have a sample of that oil ,it received a lot of hate for some reason on this forum. I wanted someone's opinion on EO Laos qi ,but it seems no one reviewed it

EO Oud Ertugrul and Oud Ertugrul II

Comparing and enjoying both once again. OG is special and highly praised for good reason. But make no mistake, II is very very good also. Different setting for sure, as they pulled out certain facets while hiding others, yet the result is beautiful. Another Borneo done right. Nothing funky, no smoke, jungle vibes, earthiness or strong petrichor. Only the good old vanillic Bornean chord, here infused with the most peculiar lemongrass note that paired with the vanilla makes me think of the tastiest vanilla flavored lemonade drank from a wooden cup. A raspberry might have slipped in accidentally.

someone inbox me on instagram claiming you wanted to sell me the og.

Nha trang zeitaku - Oudique

This has the core of the bitter citrus sinensis leaning nha trang profile found in much more expensive oils like nha trang qinan for example.

This is a good version of these profiles for anyone new to the region or wanting an easy daily swiper. It does not have the numbing effervescent gasoline quality of the Taiwanese style nha trang oils, but for the price, one would not expect it to.

Borneo kita is also a nice option from Oudique for a vanillic, sweet, woody, creamy borneo. 2025 oil that seems like it will improve a bit with age.

ASO Qandahaar 2.1

There’s a sphere of barn with it’s lovely
stable-fecal-leather pushed to the edge
without going over the edge.

Inside the sphere is classic oudiness with shades of fruits, resin, and caramel.
It gets a little tangy with touches of rose,
B. Serrata, and ambergris.

As it dries down there’s some nuttiness and an oudh chip on a heater together with raw agarwood.

That’s my first round with this oil, can’t wait to swipe it again.

Qandahaar 1 had a mintiness that was present from top to base, which made it more intriguing.

Sinharaja by Al Hashimi. This one is really nice. Maybe it lacks a bit of refinement but I love how alive it feels. Piercing and strong with the lacquer notes I really enjoy. Truly delightful. Not for every day but when I feel like putting it on it delivers.
Bro, I want to buy some Al Hashimi oil. Do you have any recommendations?

Hot crayons, wet cardboard, dried cat spit, anyone? I'm not sure why people are making this type of CO2 extract. I have a crassna bracelet from the same source and that wood has that same cat spit smell. So odd... The Yuzhi oud budget co2 sinensis oils are much cleaner - not a trace of the spit, paraffin or cardboard View attachment 44565
Be careful from there, he's not consistent in what he sells insofar as these are concerned. Happy to send you the samples I bought as a point of comparison...

As for me today:

Yavuz. Don't know what else beyond what Quintillus said. I told Mehmet it's like Anas and Vietking had a child. It's an amazing oil and can't wait to see how this one grows up.

Agar noir Vs Jaya qadeem (both jayas)
AN is amazing ,my second wear today, picked up some of the minty smokey notes which is hypnotic this oil is a gen 4 so it has the complexity of gen 3 and the smell of the original wood on ambience temp together which is mind blowing .
Jaya qadeem from habz -has a different smell approach ,smell like old furniture (paint ),woody minty ,slightly vanilla . Very addictive.
I will probably try to get a full bottle as I just managed to finish the sample,I want to keep this smell in my library of scents .
U can tell the difference in the wood used between these oils ,but don't get me wrong habz is not far behind.

Sinking Filipino from Mindanao, Aq Filaria (Sultania Aromas)

This is one of the higher end of the spectrum oils, but boy is it worth it, I’ve smelt many Filipinos in the past but nothing quite like this. Opening you get some light guava and mint followed up by dark chocolate and coffee ending with a stunning tobacco leaf. The first tobacco a Filipino I’ve smelt and this is potent!

A little goes a long way.

ASO Samandari
This is an example of how a newly distilled oil can surpass old oils from 2000s or SQ oils. I've tried 3 Hindi oud oils from SQ oils and all are inferior to this. Smooth as silk, deep powerful resinous, banana, most beautiful leather, minimal fruitiness and all of the beautiful woody notes. Seamlessly transitions from top to bottom.
Someone can say this is a pricey oil and I see that, I've tried couple of the $10K oils that I couldn't be more careless about them, and at the end of the day it's a matter of preference.
Samandari could be the pinnacle of Hindi oud oils.

Mashallah, looking forward to this experience inshallah

I had a bit of free time to sit quietly today so revisited Yavuz - MesOUD.

That piercing opening has settled down and the oil has got smoother. At the same time it feels richer and deeper. Wow such a stellar oil! Sublime fresh lemon peel that settles into the most beautiful Oud wood and earth scent. Meditative and psychoactive. Absolutely beautiful.
