I think you’ll like at least one of the three Frederic Malle parfums, maybe all three lolIt’s been a while since I’ve looked at parfums. Maybe I should go shopping!
Oh, boy, I would have to take a LONG break from composing attars to afford Malle's prices! But yeah, I like the Night.I think you’ll like at least one of the three Frederic Malle parfums, maybe all three lol
If you like the Night, you will love the Moon, I think, and will also enjoy very much the Dawn. The common thread of same oud runs through them all, but transformed each into their own namesakes. I can’t decide whether I like Moon or Night best, but Dawn is no slouch by any means.Oh, boy, I would have to take a LONG break from composing attars to afford Malle's prices! wow, they sound delightful! I just don't remember the Night being that expensive. If you like the Night, you will love the Moon, I think, and will also enjoy very much the Dawn. I think it underwent a price increase, not super recently, but maybe in the last 1-2 years.wow, they sound delightful! I just don't remember the Night being that expensive.
I always remember it being the one fragrance where price was commented on constantly, just because of how out there it was, in relation to other niche releases, even from the same house.wow, they sound delightful! I just don't remember the Night being that expensive.
Have you tried Ajmal's Mukhallat Shams or Dahn al Oud Shams kban? Many commented on how similar it was, at least if you were looking for an over the top oud note in a commercial fragrance.I think it underwent a price increase, not super recently, but maybe in the last 1-2 years.
I can attest to Mukhallat Shams being very similar for a fraction of the cost. Plus, you can always just swipe some oud if you want to bolster the oud/feel that The Night has a marginally better quality oudI always remember it being the one fragrance where price was commented on constantly, just because of how out there it was, in relation to other niche releases, even from the same house.

I have not. I actually think Maison Crivelli’s Oud Maracujá is similar to Moon (not identical, passion fruit as opposed to lychee), but to me they carry the same type of assertion to the world.I always remember it being the one fragrance where price was commented on constantly, just because of how out there it was, in relation to other niche releases, even from the same house.

Did this one sell out quickly? I don't see it on Habz's website.Malinau maliki - Habz
Just landed 5 mins ago and took a small swipe.
I can tell it’s still a bit fresh and fragmented but it’s very promising.
Certainly some crossover elements with borneo3000 and smells very similar to this actual malinau wood that i have.
This wood also smells dead on to borneo3000 is basically why I think every other “malinau” oil Ive smelled - isn’t malinau, etc.
This oil is the closest thing Ive smelled to both of those above things and I can only imagine what time will do.
Another banger of an oil from Habz 🙌🏻

On another note, I swiped Al Hashimi's Satkara II earlier and it was perfect for the extreme heat of NY summer. I'm of the camp that thinks there's something about the hay, leather, slight barn, cream of hindis that works really well in higher temperatures, somehow tempered by the heat.
Coming back in I showered and put on a microdot of a tiny sample I got of Celyon Royale Exclusif from Faizal P. Wow, I was thrown for a loop. I haven't smelled something this good and complex since smelling borneo3000 (I don't have experience with high-priced ouds). I got piercing mint, citrus, and light florals, like a neroli. The opening reminded me of a high-end version of Malay Kristal because of how piercing and fuel-y it was but the association quickly dissipated as I started to feel like I was almost smelling a very nice sandalwood as well. I wish I had the money for more of this.
Ah, I see! Thanks.Send him a PM on here
It used to be right here but now that he’s banned you’ll have to go to his Etsy site. Just type in rising Phoenix perfumery and it’ll show up. JK is one of the coolest vendors that used to be on here.Where can I buy this?
I've only heard of and experienced good things with kyarazen, for sure!KZ1985 an oil which hasnt been mentioned in a very long time, the story behind it can be found here. A oil which once upon a time caused alot of drama. Safe to say its not labdanam lol

Kyarazen Oud 1985 - KyaraZen
Having received many enquiries on the identity of that mysterious drop of oil that I always sent out in packages, i.e. together in the package of the a few lucky purchasers of the Subitism heater, I thought I would push forward this write up, which was scheduled to a very…www.kyarazen.com
Kyarazen is a true gentleman and friend, very humble person and a legend in the Oud world 🙂
