@mesOUD - Tranquil
This one sent me dancing around, sniffing my wrist.
I have other Vietnamese oils but Tranquil has a lot of body than one and luckily it is not that bitter as another (just a lovely sweet-ish medicinal bitterness that I love) There’s also something ‘mind numbing’ that I find in AA oils.
Just curious for those familiar with MesOud’s oils: It won’t lose this ‘mind numbing’ sensation as it ages, I hope?!

Well they are all relatively new ,but I feel the mind numbing sensation will remain with aging ,I doubt it will go away.

left wrist: big dank swipe of @Oudique merauke q as i just bought a gram : ) ... i know some folks don't vibe w this one but for me an all- timer, the closest i've gotten to finding an oud that feels like "me"/what i'd want to wear daily.

right wrist: natuna island from @Encenser ... wow! i get loads of champaca & jasmine off this, salty & ozonic & soft musky drydown. being quite conservative w this one as its a sample, but wish i could dunk my head in it

MesOud - Havva
From a generous sample, and I think MesOud knew I would fall for this beauty.
Initially I didn't like it that much because I had just applied a natural cream that smells kind of earthy (Blame eczema) and it was overpowering/interacting with Havva. Now that the cream has been absorbed this tiny dot of Havva showed its amazing drydown. 😍😍😍

Sounds lovely.

mesOUD Havva
First, I must say, if there were an industry award for "best presentation," my vote would definitely be for mesOUD. Mehmet really makes every item into a work of art, from the oil, to the packaging, and even the certificate of authenticity which he includes as well.

I would describe Havva as being powerful, yet gentle. This oil wears smooth yet it is no slouch in terms of longevity. I most definitely get the references to tropical fruits and oceanic aspects as well. In fact, I mentioned to Mehmet that this oil immediately brought me back to a time as a child living on O'ahu. A time which I have many fond memories of.

I will surely treasure this oil and use it very sparingly. Part of me wants to order more than the .25gr I have, yet I am excited to experience more of Mehmet's distillations, so I may need to refrain.

As I had mentioned longevity earlier, I have a tiny dab on a test strip from around 24 hours ago, and the woody incense dry-down is wonderful and still very strong. I love everything about this oil.

Thank you again Mehmet @mesOUD
I agree wholeheartedly! I adore HAVVA, the problem is trying to leave it alone to allow some aging. I just can't refrain from applying "just a dab," and then a little more later that evening.
Certainly the presentation of products provided by messed is top notch, classy, expensive but not gaudy or trying to hard, simple, elite beauty. His presentation matches the product inside, Glorious!

Electric Candy Apple - Aroma Sublime (Sample)

I got a package that I completely forgot that I ordered that consisted of parfums and 3 Oud samples including this one. A mystery package from Vietnam. A pleasant surprise.

ECA is a full-bodied Oud boasting a clean straightforward scent. It smells like what a young cambodi would smell like. It’s sweet with fruity nuances, wet earth, and slightly medicinal. It’s not invasive to someone new to Oud. And would be a great intro into the Oud world. Very beautiful.

TrangQuil - Mesoud

It's only been a few minutes and I'm already in love with this oil. Initially I was greeted with a strong fruity smell, leaning towards melon and purple leaning florals. After a few minutes I started noticing this deep and vibrant green jungle note. I'm also constantly getting this powdery sweet note floating around in the background, and it reminds me of a mixture of vanilla mixed with flowers.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how this evolves

Hello Ouddicts 🙂

Today I swiped :
Fushigi Tarakan
Craft Oud Aru Naga
Craft Oud Khmer Régal

This Tarakan is in same Fushigi’s Style …
Very nice oil with Oriscent Taiwanese Character , sharp Woody dryness, Old book Library aspect with light powdery vanilla aroma, light lemon , light Cola , earthy undertone …
Similar to Brunei Kyere, it remind me lightly Habz Xiang shui , Bornéo King …
Very very nice oil !

Craft Oud Aru Naga is nice barny oil, creamy barny with strong enough power but not too much spicy and berries are here . It is nice Still strong barn to my nose … nice oil .

Craft Oud Khmer Régal is a rare Cambodian oil I like … it remind me lightly AA Kinabang … there is a almond buttery opening which is very gourmand and then the berries & cherry notes coming with that typical Olive note i find in Crassna oils …
I love Khmer regal honestly I am not confident with Cambodian oils but this one is an exception !

I wish you all a very Gooud Swipe Ouddicts 🙂

HM Royal Viet - SULAYM

This is definitely a unique and complex oil. The depth of the antique woods smell is excellent. To my nose, I don't pick up any of what I would typically associate with barnyard. I do find this oil to be very powerful, interesting, and addictive.

EDIT: The only time I pick up a faint trace of barn is in smelling from a paper strip, pretty far into the dry down. I don't pick up any of the barn otherwise.

RBO-Thailand Nam Nao #2

At the start it opens up with a heavy fermented fruit note upon a background of leather and hay. Over the first hour the fruit becomes more sour and fermented. After about four hours, the hay disappears and the leather evolves into more of a coffee. The sour fruit note makes it come off as a light roasted coffee. Near the end the fruit has left and I get this clean almost rubber nuance that may not sound appealing, but I can assure is having me sniff over and over again. Overall a pretty good oud. Slight aside, I know it has been said time and time again here, but Ish's reputation is absolutely true. He was absurdly generous in the samples that he gave me. I ordered a taif rose and vetiver and now here I am with oodles of oils and incense.
